Similar to my take. Trump started out decent, unraveled after the 10-15 minute mark when Hillary clearly got under his skin and the last half of the debate he was channeling Sarah Palin with nonsensical word salads that just seemed to be on loop. Hillary was too nice and she seemed content to give Trump the mic and let him hang himself and as bad as he sounded at times he still hammered some of his buzzwords. Trump left so many openings for her to hit him on it was ridiculous but she took the high road which was stupid because if she gets down and dirty in the later debates it's going to make her look desperate. Lester Holt pretty much got treated like his name was Lester. I don't know why he was even in the room because he just got bullied all night and the story will be about him tomorrow being a pushover.
