god damn strikes Stropy
Doyers really what all over themselves the last two games
Thread called it.
What a cluster for Dodgers now.
Thread you are now in the managers seat. What now?
ok time to stop ing around with that breaking pitch.
You start CK in 6 and try to bank a lead of some import so you can sneak him out and hold him back for 7. If that doesn't work you must leave him in as long as needed to save Jansen & Hill for 7. Then you send CK to bullpen in 7, he ain't to sit in the dugout. Have Hill go as far as is prudent then bring Jansen and finish it with CK. Don't try and finish it with Jansen. Switch it to CK. It's his time.
GG. Let's end it on Saturday.
I told you guys we're over matched. Cubs have the much better bats 1-8, are leagues faster and more athletic, have 4 aces, most with big game experience, and have probably been the best team this year in "high leverage" situations.
Cub was right that Roberts should've started Kershaw. Try to go up 3-2, because, as I said, it was going to take a collapse for Maeda et al to beat Lester. Maeda did well after that start, but he didn't eat enough innings. Also it's evident Blanton and Baez are mental midgets.
CK had to make 3 starts in this series. That won't happen. He can still make 3 appearances.
& now CK is under ELE conditions. Eh, a ing nightmare now.
Still like the Dodgers' chances. Their inability to hit lefties is ridiculous, but thankfully they won't see Lester again this series and they've done well enough against Hendricks and Arrieta. They also get Kershaw in game 6; could be another situation he chokes but, if not, you get a winner-take-all in game 7 with all the pressure on the Cubs.
They scored one run on a wind assisted home run, tbh. Winning one at Wrigley is hard, winning two requires luck and winning 3... ain't happening. Better team should win out in the end, considering they've literally got the edge from 1 to 25 plus Managing.
We'll see; gonna be a lot of tight assholes at Wrigley this weekend.
The fans sure, but certainly not the players. Anyone watching the Cubs should know this by now.
They haven't faced the level of pressure they'll see this weekend before. So far they've handled it admirably, but you don't just shrug off 100 years of it. If they get through this and finish it, they'll be really loose for the WS.
I'm sure they'll simply embrace the target, and simply try not to suck out there.
I agree. Every time the Cubs have been in a tight spot in this postseason they've responded in a huge way. I expect them to beat Kershaw and punch their ticket in Game 6.
Gotta agree with Jesse Rogers here, it's time to put in Almora Jr for Heyward. The defensive drop off there is minimal and I don't think anyone really wants to see J. Hey go up against CK.
Welp, let's see if the goat rears it's ugly head tonight.
I'm liking this start so far.
I'm okay with everything that's happening right now.
Would've liked more runs, but I'll take 2 for now.
The bitter truth is that K is not a 1. He may be a 2, most likely a 3, but, he is just not a 1. We're going to have to admit that and shove him down to 3, put Maeda & Urias under him and go and buy a 1 & 2.
Damn, we were up 2-1 in this series with 2 more in CA.. This is a shame.
Cubs up 3-0. At home. In game 6. Of the NLCS. This seems familiar.
