Congrats to the Cubs and their fans. They deserve it.

na now they are probably going to be a power house for the next 5 years and bringing in the ratings for baseball.

Good thing is this club is still young and mostly under contract. We'll get our pitching staff back healthy, hopefully Michael Brantley will come back healthy... baseball is a funny game, they could lose 85 games with this core next year, but if the Royals can come back and win it after losing a Game 7 maybe the Indians can.

of a season. And it wasn't a choke. You guys basically had Kluber, Miller, and Allen - all 3 were obviously worn to the nub. Tomlin was a nice story, but he was kind of like the Danny Green of the 13 Spurs. Played a bit above his head.

This really makes you appreciate the 2005 White Sox. They had an 88-year drought, but you didn't hear them crying about "curses." Media didn't deepthroat them all year either. They just went out there and handled their business.

They gave it everything they had. I said before the series I'd be proud of them no matter what happened and I am. They showed a ton of character.

I'm weirdly calm. It almost feels like losing a weeknight game against the A's in May. I'm sure I'd feel a lot worse if 1964 were still a thing.

Yeah. No doubt you're still high from the Cavs. After the Spurs redeemed in '14, Kerchoke's 7 run 7th against the Cards didn't really anger me.

I ghosted a lot on White Sox boards that season (the Indians made a huge run at them before folding in the last week) and they pride themselves on being anti-Cubs fans. They're the "real fans" in Chicago and no, they don't talk about curses and billy goats. But to be fair I'm sure a lot of Cubs fans hated the "curse" talk. I know I hated the "curse" talk as a Cleveland fan.

Well worth the 12hr drive even after that game 3 loss.

GG Joe, that was of a series. Instant classic for sure.

At least we won't have to listen to what a great manager Francona is.

Those Red Sox years the teams were freakin stacked. He blew as many Series chances as he won.

BTW does he ever stop feeding his face? Looks like a gerbil everytime the camera panned.

I was happy the Royals got over the Bumgarner curse last season. I can live with a one year curse. Hopefully they can get over the Joakim Soria curse after the show he put on this season.
