Post any significant news/trades/signings here. I'll start:

Chapman going straight back to the Yankees. Cubs got what they wanted out of him but god damn the Yankees came out like bandits from that trade.

, was hoping the Rangers would've gotten Soler.

Soler still has a lot of potential. It sucks to see him go, but there's simply no room for him in the outfield with Schwarbs, Jay, J-Hey, Almora Jr and BenZo taking a bulk of time there. That's not even counting the games we might see KB there. He's shown what he's capable of in spurts but lacked consistency, in part due to injuries. I think he will do excellent in AL as a DH/OF.

Who replaces Fowler at the top of the order?

Also gonna really really miss Dex. Absolutely sucks to see him join the Red birds, I was hoping for Blue Jays to come and scoop him up. That being said, I still wish Dex nothing but the best(against all but Cubs), dude definitely earned his big pay day.

BenZo seems like the ideal candidate, but that means Rizz losing his protection. Everything could fall into place if Russell can cut his SO rate further and/or J-Hey can rebound to his usual .350+ OBP. This would give maddon couple good options at the top with Zo and J-Hey. Mean while the other can rake in with Russ at the 5-6 spots.

Maddon even expressed interest in potentially having Schwarbs lead off but I don't like this at all. No reason not to have Kyle at 2, Bryant at 3 and Rizz at 4. I mean that's ing disgustingly good.

I think you guys made a really good trade. Wade Davis has been the best reliever in baseball the last 3 seasons and he's being paid much less compared to guys being signed this offseason. Royals had to let Wade go despite his greatness, but I wonder if they could have gotten more if they would have held out a bit longer.

Yep, but I'm liking the Giants more in the NL West.

Didn't realize how barren the Rangers' farm system has become since last season. The re ed trades from last season coming back to bite the Rangers in the ass (Beltran trade, trades for ty pitchers from Atlanta). Even that trade for Dempster from back in the day is still killing them.

Holland to the White Sox. Really too bad he couldn't stay healthy tbh; could've been an elite pitcher.

Currently sitting my sports law class, ned colletti is our guest lecturer today. Pretty cool

He's got no legal history to speak of, but mostly discussing negotiation

Cards got of real easy there. There's no way Correa was the only one who knew about the hacking shenanigans. Punishment should've been a lot more severe, tbh.

The Cardinals will go right back to cheating if they haven't already, tbh. That weak-ass excuse for a punishment is just the cost of doing business to them.

Chris Correa was working for the Cardinals in 2011 when they won the World Series. If the league had any balls, they'd force the Cardinals to yank down the banner they "won" with a cheater on staff and put an asterisk next to it in the record books. Cheaters will never change their ways when they're allowed to keep their ill-gotten gains.

Rangers bringing Mike Napoli back for a third stint. I like Nap but bringing him back is a consolation prize after the Rangers completely ed up in FA.

Chris Carter 41 HRs and 94 RBIs signs for only 3 million with the Yankees.

    Nothing fishy there.
