planned rest? lol
This entire country has been pussified. The NBA is just following the trend.
DK took several years off in his prime because of his gambling suspension.
1 year is not "several"

More like babysitting, amirite ?
Not sure why LeBron nut huggers so sensitive about this ...
Kobe's career when he started, league was tougher by the time he retired it was softer, that is a fact ...
It's pussy but also smart by LeBron if he wants to catch Kareem in scoring or rings he needs longevity ...it may make him a softy but a wise man too ...
He was suspended for the entire 1993-1994 season and most of the 1994-95 season (finally getting unsuspended in March).

If kiwi and Blake gets to sit why shouldn't James?
The only people who are "sensitive" about the topic are "old-school" fans, who are angry for some reason that medical staffs are more informed now than they used to be and owners are less willing to risk injuries to the players they're giving millions of dollars to.
The old farts should just go watch old games on YouTube instead of constantly whining about how the league isn't exactly the same as it was 20 years ago.
The Kobe EffectKobe's carerr when he started league was tougher by the time he retired it was softer, that is a fact ...
lol semantics
The fact is, DK got a nice long break from basketball in his prime because he gambled and got caught. You don't see LeBron or Kawhi taking almost two whole seasons off in their prime.
Funny
But what does Jordan playing baseball have to do with LeBron sitting out a back2back? Jordan played his
All the outdated mainstream fans cry that their beloved '90s players never took time off. In reality, the so-called "GOAT" didn't play basketball for almost two whole seasons in his physical prime. Meanwhile, LeBron is somehow a "pussy" for being held out of a meaningless December regular-season game.

This is some "agent orange" right here. Vintage lefty.
Like I've said our coach is main culprit for spreading this overrated and chicken move..He's even outdoing himself here ...
Vanilla fans: "LOL Today's NBA! The NBA is so soft! Old-school players never took time off!"
Reality: Old-school players were often rested under the guise of a fake "injury." Old-school players routinely came into seasons fat, slow and out-of-shape and basically had to spend half the season playing themselves back into shape. On average, today's players and teams take their bodies and health much more seriously than their counterparts did in the past. Medical staffs now have technology, like biometrics, that allow them to judge when a player needs rest based on their workload, and so players often get held out even when they insist they feel fine.
"being held out" as if he's not the one calling the shots there
