Yeah bogut is unnecessary. Let him go to Cleveland and injure himself in the first round there tbh. He doesn't deserve PT here over any of our current bigs.
I just don't think Bogut is a very good match-up against the teams we'd be most concerned about (GS, Cleveland, LAC), and it'd just give Pop another person to potentially play over Dedmon, which I don't want to happen.
I mean sure, he'd be an upgrade over Anthony obviously and would be nice insurance for if Dedmon/Pau got injured...but that's about it IMO.

He was making a difference defensively against Cavs last year in the finals until he got hurt. He's another big you can use to pound KD and Green when GSW tries to get away with playing them at the 5. And you keep him away from other teams.
I think Bogut would be good just for the Intel on GSW.
Unfortunately only that and the hoarding of him from other compe ors are the only uses he has for the Spurs. We're already pretty solid in the front court.
I wouldn't even think twice about replacing Lee with Bogut.
Bogus...nevermind. Against the Cavs he averaged 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 12 minutes. The Warriors were outscored by 9 points per 100 possessions with him on the court. He can bang with bigs. Maybe that's all he's good for at this point in his career.
i hope the spurs sign him. HUGE upgrade over joel anthony. you never know if one of dedlee will get injured in the playoffs.

if he did sign with us he would have a bigger role than joel though. spurs are in contention for him for a reason.

lee and bogut would be motivated as against the warriors. if they were on the floor together against them, their corporate knowledge would not be a negative for us.
spurs don't have that "enforcer" type. bogut would definitely add physicality.

Sooooo if the Spurs sign anotha big, who loses playing time? Dedmon??? He's playing the most consistent of all the bigs... We know the Spurs ain't gonna cut LMA or Gasol's mins. Bogut... sign Matt Barnes an call it ready for the playoffs. Split Simmons an Ginobili's mins to have Simmons ready too.

You don't think the Spurs have a chance to make the Finals? I do. Not saying it's likely but it's possible. The thing that sucks for the Spurs is if they beat the Warriors they have to be a stacked Cavs team with LeBron to.
Don't think the Spurs were that keen on him either..
