So far in his career Malik has been horribly mis-coached.
He might also be a bit undersized
Attending?
We need a body immediately. How about attend and cunningly enter the game undetected.

Reporter went on to list at least 4 key players dealing with injuries that may keep them out of the Texas game.
The same basic deal here we have seen with many athletes. We got tremendous speed and size that can absolutely run anything down but we don't know if he can play football instinctively. Dat Nygen and Zack Thomas were not necessarily coached well IMO. Tremendous instinct for the game. Ability to watch film and dissect. Malik is a top 3 pick in the NFL draft with instinct. Find the ball Singletary, Malik is not.
Whoa. Zach Thomas should be deleted out of that post regarding under coached players. Like now.
Probably Dat too.
Zach and Dat both belong under the group of under talented guys that competed with guts and toughness.
The point is this:
They could flourish under any coach.
They were football players. Coaching did not make these guys. Coaching may be Malik's problem because he is NOT a natural football player, he is a great athlete. I did not say they were coached poorly.
Was as he a 17 dog against OU? I can't remember. Any of those games more than a 17 pt dog?
I don't think the game has slowed down for Malik and that is why he isn't making the plays he should be making. I think we just need to put him in attack mode and remove the reads from his game. Being able to read a play and find the ball is synonymous with instinct, to and extent it can be taught but most of the time a guy either has it or he doesn't.
I think Jefferson might be better served as a rush end like Striker was for Oklahoma, just move him around and tell him to find the QB.
Possibly. Yep.
Cause he can find away to get lost in the run game. And then next play stone a guy on 4th and 1. He will be drafted high, just wonder how he works out a league up. You watch 50 for the Cowboys filling gaps and cutting through lineman immediately making himself look like a 4.3 LB. And he's not close, especially now in his career. Those 3-d special timing brains are underrated.
Its not like Tom Herman coached Ed Oliver to be what he is. What coach gave Oliver his explosive, accurate gifts in getting guys immediately off balance.

Could be brutal. Could give hope.
No idea how this one goes
Two updates from 24/7...
-they believe the UT staff will target ATH Julon Williams of Converse Judson if WR Rondale Moore de-commits soon. They like him in the slot.

-a new name to know at LB is Joseph Ogunbanjo. He's a teammate of WR Brennan Eagles at Alief Taylor and he's currently committed to Baylor.

Per 24/7, Coach Giles will watch 2019 DE Kayvon Thibodeaux of Thousand Oaks, CA tonight.
