Means nothing other than NYC, LA/Chicago pile up the vote tally, nationally. What matters is swing states.
And I'm not saying Trump is gonna win. I think Trump has handled this pandemic so poorly that Biden could be diagnosed with end stage Alzheimers in election week and he might still lose. But you cant trust the polls with Trump. A lot of supporters hide in barns and don't show their hands

The common thing I've heard is that Biden needs a five point national poll lead to be pretty confident in a win, I'd say it's somewhere closer to 8 though

I have a hard time accepting that A, Biden is going to perform worse than Hillary and B, Trump is any stronger of a candidate now than he was in 2016.
Trump had legit issues to run on in 2016. NAFTA, Hillary is corrupt, wanted to take on Wall Street, drain the swamp, etc.
Trump is a weaker candidate.

I think issues shifted but I expect another close nail biter. Hillary had 'first woman' bump but Biden has 'Obama's VP' and will likely take female/black VP.
On Trump's side he gains from recent riots but losses the way he handled Coronavirus (and economy decline).
I think the whole "Trump will make run during debates" is overstated. Data seems to illustrate debates have little overall sway in this day and age of media. I think vast majority of voters already made up their mind.
