Anyone know if this is standard? I know former presidents get secret service for life. But children, aides getting secret service after a president's term ends?
First claim is false; over 300 miles of wall have been built, though just 5 miles are new
It's true that the number of miles of wall built at the southern border has fallen short of the number promised by Trump. But it's not quite as low as the post makes it out to be.
On Sept. 1, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that 307 miles of the border wall have been completed.
Still, the "3 mile" figure is likely referring to the number of miles of new border wall that have been built.
On June 23, the Los Angeles Times reported that of the 216 miles built since Trump took office,
just 3 miles were "constructed in locations where no barriers previously existed."
The rest were replacement walls or secondary to existing walls.
That figure seems to have grown a bit over the summer, too – on Aug. 7, the San Antonio Express-News reported that of the
then-260 miles completed, a total of 5 miles were new.

Mar-a-Lago is a 'sad place' since Trump moved in as members begin quitting
Trash without makeup
"What's fascinating — I've talked to a bunch of people the last couple of days.
A lot of people have quit Mar-a-Lago.
They don't want their names to be in The Washington Post or The New York Times, and
the list of people that have quit, they've silently walked out.
They don't want anything to do with Donald Trump.
And many of the members, they're not going there very often, because
it's a very dispirited place.
They're not concerned about politics.
It's a sad place for Trump to be hanging out.
It's not what it was."
"You know, these people paid up to $200,000 to get in because he was president," said Leamer.
"I don't think they're going to pay that anymore.
It's just another measure of how his power has declined and
even in Palm Beach, where many people were for him, simply because they wanted lower taxes and
they wanted a booming stock market.
But they're walking away from him.
Even here, people don't like him."

USSR tbh. Mission accomplished. Congrats.

Impeachment trial to keep National Guard troops at Capitol
There are fears of mass demonstrations.
federal law enforcement officials told lawmakers last week requires as many as 5,000 National Guard troops to remain in Washington through mid-March
The contingency force will help protect the Capitol from what was described as “impeachment security concerns,” including the possibility of mass demonstrations coinciding with the Senate’s trial, which is slated to begin the week of Feb. 8.
the citizen soldiers on the ground say they have been given little information about the extension and wonder why they are being forced to endure combat-like conditions in the nation’s capital without a clear mission.
There is also some concern over potential unrest surrounding March 4,
the date some QAnon conspiracy theorists believe Trump will be inaugurated for the second time.

QAnon Thinks Trump Will Become President Again on March 4
extremist experts are worried that it highlights the way QAnon adherents are beginning to merge their beliefs —
about the world being run by an elite cabal of cannibalistic satanist pedophiles —
with even more extreme ideologies.
The latest claims being made by QAnon supporters echo those of the sovereign citizen movement,
law enforcement have viewed them among the top domestic extremist threats facing the country.
QAnon is borrowing ideas from more-established extremism movements.”
Sovereign citizens believe that a law enacted in 1871 secretly turned the U.S. into a corporation and did away with the American government of the founding fathers.

The traitor (and the evil spawn) are completely and totally f*cked - more than I thought.
I hope you listened to Michael Cohen today — very illuminating.
What he said basically is NY is going down in 30 days (“three Scaramouche's ) — and all the crimes MSNBC listed off — he said “you are scratching the surface” — but there is more.
Late last week Morgan Lewis ( the tax lawyers) were trying hard to get out of representing him. They are a very good firm. But what they did is really telling.
They are trying to withdraw, simultaneously saying
they had no real knowledge of the tax bull and
also trying to block the release of the financial evidence (that they have little knowledge of ) all at the same time!
But then it gets worse, of course.
at least Deutsche Bank and Landmark are trying real ing hard to find a buyer for the traitors paper.
No buyers.
They will have to dump it to the sharks to avoid their fingerprints on a likely foreclosure.
Once it gets to the sharks — complete blood in the water.
They will not give a about anything more than making a buck on the deal.
these are not non-recourse debts. He is completely on the hook. He cannot walk away.
He will get hit civil and I think criminal in NY state and NY city.
As his impeachment trial goes down, The IRS will be right behind it — and
I think at least three other states will follow, California comes to mind —
so fast he cannot possibly deal with it.

'Attention-starved' Trump brutally mocked for 'pathetic' Office of Former President announcement
On Monday evening, Donald Trump announced he was creating the "Office of the Former President"
, the new office, which is to be run by former aides in the Trump White House,
"will be responsible for managing President Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities," and
will "carry on the agenda of the Trump administration through advocacy."
