But rather than those who sign the checks to push right-wing policy, the advisers are more often the ones who receive them. As in Trump’s first term, this election has led to a mass scrambleon K Street to find “talent” with MAGA influence. One of the reasons is that the incoming executive branch is poaching the lobbyists with the most connections.

I would suppose courts sort out disputes like this all the time, I'm not a lawyer
(like a putative misunderstanding about whether a thing was pending, or had already been properly served)
We'll see if this is even worth an appeal. If, as stated, they don't have any records to disclose, then there's not much else to do other than lawyers collecting their paychecks.
