    Trump's closing argument to voters:

    It's about me, stupid

Trump has struggled to find a closing argument

if you listen to Trump's rallies and campaign appearances over the past couple weeks,

he has definitely landed on a pitch to voters that can be summed up in a single two-letter word: Me.

    Trump is the closing argument.

    It's all about him,

    who likes him,

    who's nice to him,

    who's voting for him.

It's certainly not about voters' ridiculous needs.

And if they thought their observations mattered— they had better think again.

Trump, and Trump alone will be the judge of what matters and what doesn't.

Trump campaign in danger of having lawsuits thrown out over unpaid legal bills

frantically attempting to collect settlements in legal disputes because it needs the money

to fund other lawsuits that are in danger of being dismissed.

pressing Omarosa Manigault Newman to make a delinquent $52,000 payment for writing an unauthorized book about White House doings, the report explains the money is desperately needed.

the campaign is currently engaged in a “flurry of legal actions” in the days before the election which is an indication that money is tight.

the campaign is under the gun to keep itself funded.

the campaign has thus far stiffed the arbitrator assigned to mediate the case, according to a letter sent to the parties in the case.

If Trump’s attorneys don’t pay the outstanding bill by next week, the case could be tossed out.”

“The campaign is helping fight accusations Trump harassed and sexually assaulted women.

It’s helping keep do ents about his business deals hidden.

Other cases are proactive, such as attempts to enforce nondisclosure agreements and to punish media companies the campaign accuses of defamation.

And it is responding to lawsuits from people who say they were assaulted at Trump events,

including one from a Missouri man who claimed he was arrested after
    laughing at a MAGA rally.”

Those lawsuits won’t go away after the election with one Washington attorney saying

the president is facing massive legal bills.

“Even if he loses the election, very little actually ends once Trump leaves the White House in January 2021,”

“Litigation Trump has personally brought under his own name or through the campaign,

whether it be protecting his tax returns or suing Omarosa,

will continue for however long there is money to pay the lawyers.”

lawyers may be wary of continuing their representation of the president once he is out of office because of his extensive history of stiffing people he owes money to.

“Private contractors, bartenders, painters, real estate brokers and others have all claimed that Trump didn’t adequately compensate them for their work before he was sworn into office.

    More recently, Trump has been
accused of failing to pay local officials who provide thousands of dollars’ in security assistance to the president’s campaign during rallies,”

Trump campaign accused of masking $170 million in spending

    • President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign violated the law by masking millions in spending, a nonprofit democracy group alleged in a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday.
    • The Campaign Legal Center said in the 81-page filing that the president’s reelection campaign and campaign committee hid $170 million in spending to major vendors as well as family members and associates by diverting the money through firms headed by Brad Parscale, who was replaced as campaign manager earlier this month, as well as other senior campaign officials.
    • The nonprofit alleged that the campaign effectively laundered money in order to hide payments to contractors and advisors, including the maker of a campaign app, as well as Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host who is dating the president’s son Donald Trump Jr.

As his staff contemplates defeat, Trump closes his campaign out with spite and bitterness

Donald Trump is collapsing in on himself.

That's the story his campaign and White House team itself seems to want to push in the scurry to avoid blame themselves.

    On Sunday,
a New York Times piece reported on

gloom, grievance, and "backbiting" among Trump's staff as his reelection prospects dim,

but more of note is the blame getting directed at the big orange hateburper himself.

Donald Trump is ignoring all advice,

doubling down on his most hateful behaviors, and

choosing closing themes based solely on his own obsessions, grievances, and malevolence.

    Trump's propensity to target women,

select political enemies for demonization, and

his renewed vigor in seemingly attempting

to goad supporters into violent acts against them

are becoming topics with more public weight than any campaign message

Trump is only going to get worse in the next few weeks—no matter what.

If polls continue to look bleak,

his narcissistic bitterness will overwhelm him and his demands of his supporters will get even more extreme.

His attacks on Democratic leaders that take pandemic precautions—which he considers to be personal attacks on himself and therefore illegitimate,

the angst of Trump's phalanx of worst enablers as they fretted over possible career repercussions of

    1) endlessly lying to the American people and

    2) support a corrupt, cretinous toad of a man in

    3) reforming the government into a white nationalist-premised, incompetent kleptocracy

while destroying longstanding democratic ins utions and premises

    Trump's campaign is broke,

so it's using the federal treasury as his reelection slush fund

From day one, Trump's plan was to use the White House to expand his personal brand and make him some money.

Now he's using the federal government to try to hang on to the White House, using taxpayer dollars as his own slush fund.

    The
worst abuse has to be Attorney General William Barr's entire Justice Department being an arm of the campaign.

"There's no more secret vote," Barr lied

in an official news conference in Arizona in September.

"Your name is associated with a particular ballot.

The government and the people involved can find out and know how you voted.

And it opens up the door to coercion."

None of that is true. Your name is not on your ballot, however you cast it.

Barr is also using the Justice Department—lawyers getting paid with taxpayer funds—to defend Trump personally against a defamation charge from E. Jean Carroll,

Trump has also been pushing Barr to prosecute Joe Biden and President Barack Obama for spying on his 2016 campaign.

Then there's the things like his
raid on the Medicare Trust fund, $8 billion and change to send $200 bribes to seniors in the guise of prescription drug assistance.

    Trump also insisted that a
letter signed by him be included in food boxes in the Farmer to Families program, federally funded food assistance that will have the campaign stamp on it.

He's been using the White House as the
prop for his campaign, a Hatch Act violation that his chief of staff Mark Meadows—whose salary is paid by us—dismisses.

Bob Bauer, the former White House counsel to Obama, calls

Trump's use of the federal government for his reelection “a frontal assault" on the line "between normal political puffery in an administration,

some flexibility under the Hatch Act and

a clear misuse of government resources to advance a campaign’s objectives."

    "Trump is openly saying,

'I get to use this office, the authority and resources that come with it, to just advance my political interests in the most raw terms.'"

particularly by using Trump properties for official business.

He's been intent on stealing everything he could get his hands on while in office,

and is going to use the Treasury to keep him in office so he can steal the rest.

Ivanka Trump could be targeted for multiple corruption investigations after her dad leaves office

has been the subject of repeated ethics complaints detailing her alleged corruption,

“If Hunter Biden had received a lucrative deal from a foreign country on the very same day his then-vice president father was meeting with the leader of that foreign country,

Trump — and many in the media — would be calling that out as sleazy and possibly illegal,” Obeidallah writes.

“But Ivanka Trump has done that and worse and we don’t hear a peep.”

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW) has been tracking Ivanka Trump’s unethical conduct back to early 2017, and

has filed complaints covering, among other things,

    her dealings with China and

asked for an investigation into her and Kushner’s real estate holdings.

“In April 2017, on the very same day Trump dined with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government granted preliminary approval for Ivanka’s long-sought-after trademarks for her namesake fashion brand,”

Ivanka received preliminary approval for additional trademarks from China’s government on June 7, 2018,” he adds.

“What else happened on June 7, 2018?

Her father agreed to lift sanctions against the massive Chinese telecommunication company ZTE, which is partly owned by the Chinese government.

The Trumps aren’t even trying to hide the conflicts!”

whether Ivanka Trump and her husband personally benefited from a new tax law that she had worked on, and

the watchdog is cataloguing possible violations right up through last week —

    when she
allegedly violated the Hatch Act eight times in 48 hours.
