Trump says he would 'absolutely' testify in his New York criminal trial

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump told reporters Friday he would "absolutely" testify in his upcoming hush money trial that is set to begin on Monday.

"Yeah, I would testify, absolutely," he said in response to a question from NBC News.

Trump, who is charged with 34 counts of first-degree falsifying business records, repeatedly called the trial a "scam" during his press conference at Mar-a-Lago.

Jury selection in the trial, which is expected to last six to eight weeks, begins Monday.

"I'm testifying. I tell the truth, I mean, all I can do is tell the truth. And the truth is that there is no case," Trump said.

Unless called to the stand OR you are the side accusing, one does not testify.

No, v, no. Trump is doing what Biden foreshadowed over two years ago when we went to war with Russia on behalf of the millions of Nazi's in Ukraine...

    ...whatever it takes.

    Let us proceed...

Agreed, there is no upside. (They've) spent the vast lion's share of their time and efforts running mad in front of him throwing Stormy nude in his face. They couldn't resist. They'd already done it once in order to keep him out of the White House. That didn't work, and it didn't stop 'em from throwing her again 8 years later.

We're both playing games, and Trump needs to keep playin' 'em/his. Like I said I'd portend to agree to testify in broad daylight until the very moment he drops that rather large rump into that chair. Then I'd refuse..."I changed my mind, this is a kangaroo court, you're a plaintiff's judge, a hanging judge, a veritable bag man for the boy's downtown." You know the whole Paul Newman role in -The Verdict-..."I know about you, you couldn't make it as lawyer, so they gave you this spot." The whole thing. Then I'd get 'em at the last. "Can we break for lunch now, I got the children waitin', we're goin' McDonald's. It's right on the street down there out front."

Of course guilty Yam s will avoid testifying.

The Fifth Amendment to the United States Cons ution protects individuals against testifying against themselves in court.

Yam s would be an idiot like CC testifying on ST about cow intestines.

Still & all, Effy; I'd drag it out as long and as preposterous as I possibility,,,and the old man is still calling this crooked bas judge everything but a White man. They (this Judge, Hussein, Biden, et al) don't want to put him in jail...not with Putin, X and Z watching.

Hey, sweetheart, they ever gonna have another election in Nazi occupied Ukraine?

It is the defense lawyers responsibility to protect their client.
A lawyer for Trump would be out of his mind letting him take the stand.
Trump would absolutely destroy himself on the stand.

Just remember the phone call to Zelensky. That was one of the stupidest phone calls a president has ever made. Actually asking a foreign spy agency to spy on his political opponent in an election OVER THE PHONE. Republicans were ting their pants. All kinds of ridiculous excuses. And then just finally resorting to full blown partisan foul play.

The only reason Trump was not only impeached, but actually tried and found gulity was the Republicans owned a majority. That was an open and shut no no for a president. An actual court would ruin Trump forever. He would be in a federal prison.
