Well, it was supposed to be in Charlotte, but NC passed that stupid bathroom law.Stadium emptier than the AT&T Center.
Why does the NBA continue to go back to that third world swamp?
it was not because NC passed the law, but rather how the NBA reacted to the law, which will soon be law in Texas. The NFL, and the NBA might be able to pick on NC, but will face immediate repercussions when you try to lean on Texas. Incidentally, there are 18 other states who are working on similar laws, Alabama, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada, Arkansas, and Wisconsin. I find it interesting that the rest of NY is not so much in agreement with the city of NY. Looks like the all star game will either be in California or Louisiana from here on out.

The NFL skews older so Texas might have some bite. But these threats to a league which just singed a long term TV money deal are very hollow.

The NBA is not going to pull out of Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio because of a bathroom bill that affects .0003 percent of the national population. They can keep Texas from hosting All Star games but that is about the amount of their power over Texas.
I can only imagine what those 2 are laughing about.
Yeah, It's easy to walk away of NC. But let's see the NFL keep Jerry World out of the Superbowl running. And if your so bent on "taking a stand", put it all on the table and say we will not play ANY games in those states with the law. We all know that ain't happening. It's a half assed empty threat just for public perception. These leagues need their bluff called.
