Serious, though, this move doesn't harm them, at all..they were already near rock bottom, the odds are that it can only get better, tbh..
It more than likely will, because of the potential for long term damage. Plus, you know they'll delay firing him and it won't be termed that when it is. They'll act as if he's resigning in order to focus on his other businesses, so that both sides can save face.

Between his antiquated mindset and massive ego (if a current player made the kind of public comments and power play he's made the last few weeks, they'd get destroyed for it), this is terrible news for the Lakers and by extension, the league, who'd obviously like to see them successful again sooner than later.

Some of these franchises are so blinded by big names, that they just won't learn that being a former great player or great or at least highly successful coach, not only doesn't mean you can be an effective front office executive, but it tends to mean the opposite, because those people often have massive egos and are stuck in their ways.

I don't know what anything is going to help the lakers. They have no prospects, they suck at drafting and player development, they can't sign anyone, their locker room seems poisonous, the front office is in shambles.

The only decent thing they have right now is the coach and the brand.

What brand? To have a brand you have to see benefits. Sure it's worth a lot, but from a brand perspective with regards to basketball? They are toxic and can't even get mid-tier FA's to sniff them.

Magic begging for DeMar DeRozan and him not even giving LA a chance.

710 AM ESPNLA is suggesting Swaggy P and Lou may get 86'd. The Lakers are zeroing in on The Pick!
The Spurs should see if they can land Williams for Mills + Anderson. That would cut $5 million of the Lakers payroll next season and the Spurs badly need another guard with Ginobili retiring and Parker being dog .

My friend, Jamal Crawford is at least a 6MOY caliber. Greg Monroe refused an all expense paid weekend vacation to listen to the Lakers pitch

Magic will be fine. He has a gay son so things will work out for us. You guys had a gay star player for over a decade and look how things worked out for you.

    You should keep up.

Phil ditched that dirty broad. AIDS came to her bedside to comfort her. Now he's plowing that skanky stanky cunt with his HIV-infected semen, and he's your President.

Magic makes his first move and it's a prudent one.

Gives up Lou Williams for Brewer and HOU's first round pick (currently number 27). It would have been nice to not have Brewer's money on the books next year, but no one was offering a first round pick most likely for Lou so he basically has the same salary (Brewer makes 500K more than Lou) and an extra late first now.

    Not spectacular but solid enough.

He is but Greg Monroe is even worse. There are levels to this and Monroe just outclassed JC in being useless.
