LMAO, I was playing Yakuza 3 and I got stuck on one of the hostess clubs when the hostess wouldn't show, so I googled her name Kana Momonogi. Turns out she's a Japanese pornstar appearing as herself in the Yakuza 3 remaster and apparently lots of the cabaret girls in this series are actual pornstars.

You into that jav , bro?

They do that swimsuit porn the best. A shame it’s all mosaic from there.

Not all. JAV + Uncensored are two useful words to dump into piratebay tbh

Apparently all the videos you watch in Yakuza 0 on the little TV next to the box of tissues are real pornstars too.

i got "ending" A in nier automata... seemed very anticlimactic for an ending, but now im getting a playthrough as 9S. should be interesting from his POV, though most of the story is going to be shared, if i had to guess. which is good because there were a couple of side quests i didnt finish because i didnt realize i would lose access to them near the end of the first playthrough

    no

i didnt exactly go about looking for different ways to game over... i think they use the term "ending" too loosely tbh

i think the combat in this game, at least through the first playthrough, is kinda dull though. i find myself just hacking away at the same machine for 15-20 minutes while i slowly chip his life away and dodging. its not particularly fun. there is this big gold plated machine in the flooded area that was just an endurance test. another one in the valley area in one of the forest sidequests.

i had to put aside the father servo sidequest. one of his forms legit took me 30 minutes to cut through... and on his next form when i gave it a quick try he literally wasn't taking damage from my attacks (i was leveled somewhere in the 20's to be fair).

i think thats the one of my main criticisms so far. that and the invisible walls which are very frustrating. everything looks like a door i can get through or barrier i can hop over. some of them i can, others have invisible walls. poor design to have them virtually indistinguishable

That was the game telling you not to fight those gold robots yet on the playthrough to Ending A.

Well since you have already killed them oh well it's not much of a spoiler for me to tell you that you were supposed to kill them by hacking with 9S.

i still have to deal with level 60 master servo, so i'll see if that helps. taking out the level 50 version was an absurd drag... but at level 60 i dont even think i was registering damage

does the game scale in subsequent playthroughs? or am i just gonna coast through at this point

PoE, New Vegas, Rocket League, Overwatch, and No Man's Sky are my biggest time sinks at the moment.

It's not a hard game unless you play it on hard, and then it's an unfairly hard game IMO.

Finally playing through Shenmue III. This game looks and plays almost identically to the prior two - with just some cleaned up graphics, but nowhere near current gen. There wasn't any effort at all to appeal to a new audience. If you didn't play (and enjoy) the others, no need to even bother with this. And with that in mind, I wonder how many people have even bought it. Anybody that's really familiar with the series are in their mid 30s to 40s.

I’m a Shenmue hype man but I didn’t really enjoy this game almost at all. The story didn’t progressed at all. I’d say story progression was moved like...3-5%?

Ryo spent the whole game looking for thugs. How lame.

Personally don’t care whether this franchise dies or keeps going. It’s unlikely I will buy another Shenmue game again.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping that this village was just an intro area and that we'd move on before too long. I mean, I'm several hours in and the only fighting that I've done is some sparring here and there to level up my skills. Hong Kong (and Yokosuka to a lesser degree in the first game) was a way better setting than rural China to play around in. I miss all the pawn shops, the different jobs/gambling opportunities, all the different underground fights, etc.

One new mechanic that's annoying as is being forced to eat. Seems like I'm spending a good portion of my days chopping wood for money just so I can buy more produce because Ryo has to eat twelve meals a day to function property.

Oops man. I thought you had finished the game. Didn’t mean to bring down your enjoyment or spoil anything. I was going to talk about the actual story but decided not to so there’s that upside for you.

I think I said to much here already but most of what you do in this game is sparring to level up your skills. To me, there are no actual legit fights though you might feel differently about that.

For a Kickstarter game its a passable one but man...

    Replaying sekiro.

Have to say the 2nd playthrough is a breeze. Even easier than GOW second playthrough.

No worries. I'm going to finish it regardless. I just unlocked a new area in the village with a few more activities, so at least there's that.

I know they were working on a tight budget, but less investigation and more story advancement would be nice. Some combat here and there would be nice too.

i cant comment on sekiro... but i imagine if i replayed bloodborne it would be significantly easier the second time around.

god of war was different because you could choose difficulty levels. i've already played GOW 3 times ...

first time on give me a challenge... that was tough but not absurd

second time i played NG+ give me god of war, which took a little adjustment, but ultimately was generally easier than first playthrough. valkyries were significantly harder though

third time i played plain give me god of war. and even after having beaten the game twice, this gave me a LOT of trouble. only exception was that valkyries were not as hard as NG+ version. they get different moveset in NG+

going through by 9S playthrough on neir automata. its nice having (just about) all the sidequests done. plowing through the main quest. cool to see the same events from different perspective. though the combat is even worse lol... i was already complaining about the combat while playing as 2B, but now its just the stupid hacking games

Ho Lee @ the first time you encounter Mr. X in RE2.. Was completely unexpected because I'm in playthrough A. Hearing this dude's footsteps and dodging lickers w/o any ammo is scary as for a game
