Jen-Hsun says RTX 3070 outperforms RTX 2080 Ti, MSRP is $500.
500 is still a lot, but the performance boost would be worth it.. Plus I could upgrade monitors if I wanted to.. I have seen some recent benchmark videos on YouTube and seemingly sufficient CPU's have been bottlenecking the GPU.. You think a 9600k @ 5 Ghz would bottleneck this next round of cards?
Maybe if you're playing at 1080p without a ton of RT effects, especially since games like Battlefield love core and thread count. Though I just looked up 720p benchmarks for BFV and saw the difference between i5-9600k and i9-9900k wasn't a whole lot.
The perfect game for 2020, tbh. Nothing but endless pain, suffering, and selfishness...
And it's the most fun I've had in awhile.
Damn turns out the RTX 3070 has more CUDA cores than leaks from a couple of days ago said the the RTX 3090 would have. So it looks like the huge increase in performance isn't just in raytracing, but in standard rasterization too. Feels bad having bought a Turing gpu this year . Though I went cheap on it (1660 Super) because I knew a $400 gpu would really look like once the new gen arrived.
dont we have a dedicated thread about PoorC stuff?
Should I just sell the 2070 Super while I can and upgrade now?
If you can find some idiot to pay you $400 for it then yeah, sell that er and get a 3070 in October. Though that 3070 may be hard to find then just like the GTX 970 was difficult to get for two months when it came out at $330 with GTX 780 Ti performance.
Good .. I'm still not sold on RT outside of tech demos.. Sure it looks nice when on from the YouTube gameplay vids I've seen, but it just seems like it's 4-5 years away from being worth a
Nah RT is likely to be pretty significant this gen since it's in the PS5 and Series X. Especially since it's in the new Unreal engine so anyone using Unreal can just turn if on and off easily. 4A Games who does the Metro series already said they're developing everything with RT from now on. I know you scoff Ratchet & Clank, but it has some pretty cool raytracing in the trailer Sony released the other day. And especially in shooters like BF and COD that have used RT since the beginning.
lol the idiots who rush out to buy a2080ti used on ebay or whatever used markets...
lol retailers trying to clear rtx 2xxx cards...fkn overpriced horse
not that im buying at launch, but its ridiculous that there havent been price announcements on thew new consoles when we arent even that far out from release
Sony is waiting the XBox Series S Reveal and Microsoft is waiting for the PS5 price reveal to see how they have to price the XBox Series S
hahahah rtx2080ti was 2k down here, now its 1600, now on used marketplace its under 1k, could even be bought for 500 or less if the seller is desperate to get rid of the card....then again u can get a 3070 for 700 minimum when its release down here...
They have been overpriced horse for two years man.
I mean, with how much these new NVidia cards cost, you would think it would be good timing, tbh...
these new cards 3xxx cards are priced like pre crypto prices which is good for everyone
ive just read an article crypto is back and they are targeting amd 5700 cards...fck these horse chumps dont they have better things to do then buy cards for mining
Wait Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 are getting a remastered release and I didn’t even know about it? These are the best days.
It comes out tomorrow.
Yeah I know. It’s why I said these are the best days.
I like it when I don’t have to wait years in anticipation. I’m in money conservation mode so I’m going to look up some YouTubes and then maybe buy it. This brings back good memories.
My only gripe w/ THPS is the way they holgram themselves back up after a fall.. lame IMO
i dont remember sucking this bad at Tony Hawk when i was a kid
