Does Parker retire before Manu? Manu seems to have more left in the tank.
I hope so because that would mean Parker retires after this season.

No arguments from me on any of those points.

I am not aboard the "bring Manu back" train, though.
Do you have any doubt whatsover PATFO wants "the bar of soap back"?
It's up to him. He still helps win games, it's up to him. I don't mind him back as much as I did to start the season. He is a game changer.. but at this point it's really about knowing when it's time. I don't want Manu to reach Tony-looking levels and then call it a day.

Thrilled with the comeback, but we needed Manu to play perhaps his most impactful game of the season. They can't depend on that throughout the playoffs. Parker either needs to get his head out of his ass or be benched.
Agree with this caveat: Tony doesn't have his head up his ass; he is simply done. On that score it is POP who needs to get his head out of his ass.

Gutsy come from behind victory. Green needs to get his shot dropping come playoffs. Same goes for Mills. As much as I like Manu putting up solid minutes tonight despite some scary passes he made I don't how much you can rely on that kind of consistency from him every game in the playoffs.

Manu, Mills, Green can provide consistency on court making plays Spurs would look solid. Right now I just don't know what to expect from those 3 players every night.

    Aldridge played some solid D
Kawhi with a stronger 2nd half

Exciting game to watch tonight though.

Now for the Jazz to finish off the weekend

Pop should really think about expirementing and bringing tony off the bench and starting patty for five or so games before playoffs start. Might have a positive effect like with pau. Give it a shot.

2 seed is locked up. Why not give it a try. tonys feelings

Pau was incredible down the stretch. Maybe the best player on offense the last few possessions. Totally in control.

Aldridge with some huge plays down the stretch, too. That block/tap-out was sweet.

Pau and LMA made their FT's down the stretch. And that 3 by Pau was stone cold. If the Spurs just had to have a 3 down the stretch right now, there's no one on the roster I'd rather have shoot it.

Good point. I wish the Spurs had brought him up instead of signing Joel. Tbh, I bet most of ST hasn't given Nico a thought for months.

This team is so streaky, they can come from behind 20+ and they can also choke away a 20+ point lead.

Not after Murray played as well as he did. Nobody saw his injury coming. I think Lap should have been on the roster, and Forbes left in Austin. But they must have forgotten to call and ask me.

Danny didn't have the shot tonight and he got chances and the shaktin a fool moments got him out.
Simmons, the aforementioned mistakes and just unreliability bc one doesn't know which Simmons came to play: the Juice or the dleague Juice.... he also didn't play in the second half.

One has to admire Manu. He really was their playmaker... and Pau was huge.

Kawhi is just not a playmaker and it has to be acknowledged by Pop... and get him some more help at the point, specially if manu retires, which we don't know.

    Tony is done.
Actually.. throughout the game Kawhi handled the double teams better and better. He was growing throughout the game and it surprised me. He calmed down and kept pushing himself. I liked what I saw. Now it's time for the teammates to be more consistent whenever he gets them the ball after being doubled.

His statue of liberty defense really prevented me from appreciating him much I'll be frank... but he was huge in this game, and competed hard. Loved him in this game.
I remember you feeling that way. Guess youre not swayed by those fancy shmancy threes. Pop should hire you.

This team is so streaky, they can come from behind 20+ and they can also choke away a 20+ point lead.
and the reason behind both of those was coaching. The reason we choked away a 20 pt lead is because Popovich got cute with his bull lineups and reason we came back from 20 is that popovich didnt overcoach at the end of the 3rd. But he almost gave the game back to them at the start of the 4th

Or let Hero start but play Paddy 30-33 MPG. None of this even minute distribution bull . Similar to Deadmon/Pau.

Have we mathematically clinched the 2 seed, or do we have to chase the fisherman for one more game?
