Damn; choke job. Really figured the Astros would nail this down.
Gotta feel like games like these usually come down to whoever bats last.
Could soccer juice the ball and have similar increases in scoring?
Nobody wants to win this game apparently.
anyone in here actually watch baseball before this game?
Astros either win it here or lose.
There was talk of the 2010 WC ball being juiced; shots were faster and ball movement more profound. I think they made changes to the ball right before the WC started based on player input.
It pains me. If the balls are on the up and up, I would agree. But this game just doesn't feel like baseball (these games are okay once in a blue moon, but this seems sketchy).
thought it was gone
Either Red acts like somebody or the Dodgers win.
Not just the balls. A lot of meat pitches; pitchers must be tired at this point in the season.
I think Dodgers gonna take this
Congrats, midnightpulp!
A lot of the complaints about the balls aren't necessarily that they're juiced, but they're slicker, and the seams are lower, reducing pitch control and movement, especially on sliders. This game just doesn't feel right. I hope it's on the up and up.
Fox ran out of comercials
I guess you're right. MLB tends to pull stuff. McGwire/Sosa/Bonds made them a lot of money.
Dodgers get final chance to choke, so I’m sure the Astros take this eventually.
Funny thing is, ratings and attendance weren't even really up for that era. But it generating storylines, and that's all sports has become now, so I guess they might want to recreate it. I don't know. The least interesting thing about baseball is the homerun, much like how the least interesting thing about bball is the 3.
"Chicks (still) dig the long ball."
