I'm not surprised this is how Spurstalk is playing it seeing as how their starters were the ones that put them in a 19 point hole in the first place.
no team is going to win a game in the NBA where Forbes plays 24 minutes and takes 10 shots. Not that it was entirely on him, but on top of that suck ude he sprinkled on letting Ennis go off.

I am worried about building bad habits going into the playoffs.
Dont. Kawhi 3 ball is back. TP playing well a few games in a row. Defense still doing great. Pop even played guys on back to back and Danny getting a huge rest which is awesome. Manu too.

Mills is the only one really struggling. Including the GS game, he's 9-25 shooting and looks bad anytime he's matched up vs starters.

Don't the Spurs have him as Paddy's cheap-ass offseason replacement?

Okay..I'll trust in The Dude. But I read that out starters put us in a 26 point hole, can't be good....

Lee too has cooled off. As I mentioned earlier I think Pau steals his role on the bench.

That was the rumor from Pop himself, but he's not cutting it obviously.

I have never been a fan of going into the playoffs on a losing streak. Even with people resting, this just reinforces the idea that not that much separates you from the bottom-tier teams. I don't like it.

No one played seriously. Both the SL and bench helped put them in a hole, then Kawhi/TP/LMA played huge roles in bringing the team all the way back before calling it a night (in 16 mins or less of PT).

Lee has cooled off but the bench as a whole doing great with Pau playing so well. Mills playing decent (I was half kidding) and Manu too.

Starters did put SA in a hole, but it was a back to back and pretty clearly advised to not take any risks. As a whole, I'm just saying that this last few games isn't negatively impacting them IMO. I think they will be fine.

We could probably scrap though a round, maybe two, but we're too weak at the PG position, tbh.

NBA is continuing to become a snooze fest as more and more teams fall into medicorcity. The East was already riddled with garbage, D-League-tier teams, but it's really bad in the West now too tbh

It happens when too many good players team up. Back in the day it was one star per team, and destiny's were created by two studs coming together. Kobe and shaq, Dumars I'thomas. Jordon and Pippen. Gone are the days when megastars can lead teams, TD, Hakeem, Dirk to a certain extent. Lebron got his budies together in their prime in Wade and Bosh to win a le to secure his legacy. Now he is recruiting anyone, complaining about a lack of playmakers, and bang D Will joins the team for free. Warriors win 73 games, lose the finals and recruit a stud in Durant to make a big 4. Rivers and Paul have been trying to recruit their 4th stud for years without success. If you don't have three caliber allstar players in your team, your not competing for the le. Which makes Leonard's and Harden's season all so much better, considering.

Spread the love and you would see a stronger compe ion across the board.

The league was still quality when LeBron joined D-wade and Bosh in Miami. It has to do with the rise in the salary cap and players wanting to get paid. The love is being spread in the form of dollar signs

Can you believe there were actual NBA teams that were willing to pay upwards of $16M for Ginobili? Bad enough he got $14M from the same organization that gave the franchise a $5M send off. Stupid money being spent stupidly is why the league is watered down. The league isn't devoid of talent, the talent is spread around because the owners have money to spend or they lose it.

Yeah no one seemed too interested in being there in the early part of the game. Our third stringers got some playing time and got it close. Lee shot well and brought some needed offense when we needed it. Bertans played with confidence and wasn't afraid to shoot. He brought us within 5 in the last minute and a half.

This game was nothing to worry about and if Kawhi would have played more than 16 minutes we would have likely won. Forbes, Anderson, and Bertans got some experience.

Yes the cap increased is an issue, and it went up immediately. The owners didn't want the cap to increase over night but the players union fought and won that debate. However Durant would still be a warrior, but Livingston would have been given away. Curry's contract is incredible; he is fourth 4th paid player in the team. Last year he was 5th. But it is pretty outstanding that any team can max out four guys. I know Draymond is a little under max but he is close. How does that work? And that has got to be the answer to league being so top heavy.

it. Put a limit on how many +16 million year contracts a team can have. If a team cannot have more than 3 then you are set.
No star will play for less than 16 a year.
