Jesus Christ, I just went a few months back on this typical Spurs fan twitter account and lo and behold.
We love watching the Spurs because we are hardcore fans, but casual fans (these special events & playoffs) aren't gonna watch a team full of Brin Forbes, Mills, Kyle Andersons, Blossomgames, Whites, Bertans & Murrays. Sad but true. That's a Xmas National TV game dissaster.
Our Big 2 7/8 (Kawhi, LMA & Gay) are the only attractive names for casuals and even so it won't be enough to make them watch a game unless the other team is either the Cavs or Worriers. Maybe the Thunder.

if he had been busted by the feds, he most definitely would have. for one, it would have implied an investigation and secondly, feds have above a 95% conviction rate; basically, you plead or spend time in prison. but it turns out he was busted by the police and the evidence is not overwhelming in regards to the intent to sell aspect of the charges, at least with what i have read in media reports to this point.
if nothing else, the signing of gay has provided fodder for those dependent on cliche, junior high material for 'humor'. ST wins regardless.
