Disgusting to think about how stacked the West is. Spurs are on to something with punting on next season; let these "superteams" work themselves out (break themselves up after next season) while figuring out what they have with Murray/Bertans/etc.
OTOH they just gave Mills $50mil and PATFO have been pretty incompetent for years now. Wouldn't shock me if Kawhi bolts in a few years.
Yeah, no. PATFO isn't punting next season. They're punting the next 4 years with Mills and Gasol's incoming long-term contracts.
You have to much faith on the guy that gave huge contracts to Richard Jefferson and Lamarcus Aldridge. They guy who brought in Joel Anthony at the deadline. The guy who surrounds his franchise player with ZERO all stars while the other top players have perennial all stars next to them as second options.
I've been an outspoken critic of Pop/RC for years now; you're preaching to the choir. Still, with the going rate of mediocre players Mills' contract isn't surprising or shocking. I'm more pissed off at moves from last year and a few years before that have crippled the Spurs' cap.
And now the Fatty Mills contract further cripples it. And you just know they're bringing back TP after his contract ends. Green will want a raise too.
Not to mention Kawhi's Super Max contract, if he decides to stay, which is highly unlikely....
Can you imagine the free agent meetings 2 years from now when Kawhi and Poop (as overrated as he is) are gone?

I've been questioning the FO since the 2007 off-season. I really wanted to reload that year, but the dumb s brought back the same team while other teams reloaded and passed them by.
Get the heck out of there, Kawhi. They need the ultimate lesson taught to them.
