Nay. Most games have been big wins and this is at HOU in a must win game with no Kawhi.
Thats where im leaning as well. Too much of a longshot with all factors considered.

This is a Poop thing. Really don't think it's severe. If this is a Game 7 he plays. Just Poop being overcautionary and continuing to throw playoff games.

Oh he's not 100% then he can sit, if we win it adds to my legacy and if we lose it was expected.

Part of me wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs actually won this tonight. I don't know, just a feeling.
The Rockets could choke harder... lol
Like you I am inclined to stay positive.
Maybe they get unexpected contributions from their roleplayers again. This time it might be Lma, Pau. Who knows? Spurs have nothing to lose with this game. If it's over early... ah well in that case, on to game 7 with hopefully a healthy Kiwi.

If the Spurs lose in seven, Pop will never be able to live this down. Not even a little bit.

    Two potential positives:

1.) We have NOTHING to lose......go balls to the walls, intensity-wise.

2.) If we do the above, we run houston ragged and make them earn a trip back to SA to face a hostile crowd and a (hopefully) fresher Kawhi.

Not even with an injured Tony and an injured Kiwi?
I think Lamarcus and 4 down might be the one on the chopping block.

Plus, the Juice is playing at home again.
He didn't really start to get his swagger until he played in Houston let's be honest.

Oh he will. He treats reporters like trash and they still worship him. He's untouchable. He'll be right win or lose.

If the Spurs lose in seven, Pop will never be able to live this down. Not even a little bit.
It's not the first time he's done this:

Popovich was just too worried about his asset.

"He was young, a franchise player," Popovich said. "He wasn't just a No. 1 pick. With him, you've got an opportunity to win multiple championships, if you don't screw it up. I didn't know if [the injury] could get worse, or get chronic."

Popovich liked his team, and he liked its chances. He just liked Duncan even more. He told Duncan to shut it down.

"I don't know if it was right or wrong," Popovich said. "But we did it."

Without Duncan, the Spurs took only a single game from the Phoenix Suns in the first round and were quickly dispatched. Suddenly, this wasn't just about the Spurs; it was about the Los Angeles Lakers as well.
I would've loved if Kawhi played we won, and he had extra time to rest for the WCF, but if they lost, it's like a double whammy. I don't blame him for wanting Kawhi not to further bother it, and I think he'd be OK knowing the franchise player didn't injure himself further. Tough call honestly

Why does game 7 need to be on a Sunday at 2:30pm? Spurs always play poorly in those games.
