I wanted to see him live and I'm pissed I never made it a point to go to one of his shows. His music has been a part of most of my life and this sucks. RIP.

And that really sucks. My favorite singers from the 90's were Staley, Cornell, and Weiland.

Not to mention Bradley Nowell and Shannon Hoon.

I remember the first time I heard AIC. It was during Headbanger's Ball and they played Man in the Box. I was hooked within the first minute.

But back to Cornell...another victim of the Illuminati

ing great album. Five legit classics. The Day I Tried to Live is my favorite song from the entire Seattle grunge movement.

Tough fight, but I think Cornell edges Layne Stayley as the best Seatlle front man, and almost all of them were great.

I thought the music died a bit with Weiland croaking, but this makes me want to get the spoon warmed up and time to take a box cutter to one of the extra resistance bands...

Great album also but imo, not as good from top to bottom.

    Still...Slaves and Bulldozers...crazy vocals.

I remember listening to it and finding a new favorite several times. I initially would skip over The Day I Tried to Live and Fresh Tendrils but they became favorites.

Agree with you that Cornell is probably the best front man. But they were both perfect for the bands they were in. The Staley/Cantrell harmonies were kick ass as well.
