Again, the profit motive incentivises evergreening at the expense of new product development. I can't help you anymore if you don't understand this basic argument.
You're all over the place. There is either innovation or there isn't. Since there is, and the only driver is profit, then it's effective. I challenged you to provide a more effective motivator but you cannot - even now.
You didn't stop there. You said it disincentivizes development, meaning the fear of profit keeps companies away from development. That's just stupid. While it might be true that development is overly dependant on profit driven endeavors and it would be nice if people just gave their time for the sake of mankind without any such motive, it's not reality. Perhaps in your line of work reality isn't that important.

If I cared enough I'd go find the original post with "the chart".![]()
Evergreening is more profitable right now for companies with large portfolios. However for universities and biotech, novelty introductions are still more profitable. Both are profit motives.
It's like saying the taste of unhealthy food causes people to choose it over more healthy dishes, at the expense of their health, therefore taste disincentivizes eating healthy. See how silly that sounds, since people eat healthy for reasons other than taste? What other reasons do companies have to develop products other than profit?
Let's say Merck develops a cure for Ebola tonight. What are the long term implications for Merck if they give it away to 3rd world countries? What are the implications for those countries? So they no longer have fear of Ebola outbreak, do they not have richer, more fulfilling lives? Do they start farming and raising cattle and stop butchering each other? Probably not. For Merck, do they go into a financial crisis over it since it's all given away? What other drug developments are put on hold to fund it?
This doesn't happen in a vacuum. Your " money" answer doesn't work in reality, with adults.
You just cared enough to bring it up half a dozen times, and yet again.
playing the "don't care" card after two pages of caring.
So if companies are spending money to evergreen existing products they're not spending it on new product development. Thanks for proving my point.![]()
If they are buying lunch for their employees, they aren't spending that money on new product development. Free lunch disincentivizes new drug discovery.
If evergreening makes more money, you cannot consider it a net negative where funding is concerned for either evergreening or new product development. Cost vs reward is higher for evergreening, meaning the more they put into it the more they get out of it, and yet somehow new product development still gets funded. How would it be funded otherwise once the low hanging fruit are picked? Taxpayers... err... I mean... government money? Show me a socialist en y spending all their money on new product development and actually developing new products, we can discuss it.
why would bigpharma and biotech release a cure if that disease is a money making Ponzi scheme for them?
even if there is a cure, some big company would come by give you a offer u cant refuse, so they buy you out and wont release the cure to continue milking the industry...
det apathy

You already had one premature ejaculation with Hillary. You might want to sit this one out, Wizard.
What do you think calling me a Hillary supporter accomplishes? Besides making you look like a got who cant even come up with witty attacks.

"I'm heading back up to the NBA forum"
Tbh my gut tells me the Dems should win GA-6 since it isn't a very Trump friendly district but the more Reck predicts victory the more I think the GOP will win given his track record.
Holy I got you doing searching on me. Rent free got.
That still doesn't accomplish anything. It makes you look petty and re ed.
Now go look up more posts I've made in the past to proof just how much I'm not in your head.![]()
republicans have held that seat since 2002

says he's in my head
maybe I am imagining it
hey fat ass, you just spent 30 minutes researching me.work that math out you creepy old .
Trump only won that district by a point or so. If Dems can't pick off that seat with all they are throwing at it then 2018 is looking bleak for them.
Why would it take 30 minutes to look up a few of your Hillary loving posts?
We're throwing just as much (if not more). If we cannot hold this then we're white bread.
Not to mention my prior post was like 10 minutes earlier.Shadowflaming got.
