Cj Mccollum came out of Lehigh as a senior and he's 6'4"
    http://www.nbadraft.net/players/cj-mccollum

McCollum was respected as a lethal scorer who got much better over the summer. This kid is far from lethal, has no speed.

not even close to Swaggy P. Swag had star written all over him and could pull up over anybody. He was Arenas basically without the guns in the locker room. This guy is a slow, lazy cow.

Neal was undrafted IIRC and much better shooter (faster release, more range, definitely more clutch even though we haven't seen this kid play)
    Lol star? off

Semi Ojeleye and Frank Mason III will torch this scrub for 4 years until he's gone to China with Fathead
China only allows two americans per team. You think they're going to waste roster spots on these scrubs?

Went with a guard and passed on Hart, Frank Jackson, and Evans. I hope they see something we all don't.
Or have some ing plan when their needs are obvious.

TBH I would have rather had Frank with a chip on his shoulder than this kid

Pop likes players earning minutes. Murray can't be a given

Don't hate White, but I firmly believe the Spurs would be better off with Bell, or Bolden, or even Oliver instead of White.

Guard isn't that big an issue. Simmons on QO, Hanga itching to come over, Murray there, Forbes on a deal, Green still here, Manu leaning towards returning, Dangubic always a chance to develop late like Hanga ... White was kind of a luxury.

Meanwhile the only bigs on contract are a weak whining LMA and Bertans, with maybe Milutinov coming over, maybe not until next year.

    ugh.

If we're all lucky Anderson will be dumped for a second rounder.

I don't like the thought of seeing him and White on the floor at the same time.

You just know they'll trap each other in an unstable orbit, circling ever faster until Anderson's tidally locked cranium crashes into White's.

    Would have preferred Hart.
You wanted Birdman last year. What you prefer means jack .

So does this mean no CP3? Pretty awful pick to me.
Spurs using this pick as leverage with CP3. "You better sign with us for cheap, Mr. State Farm, or else we'll play this rookie instead."

    Brilliant negotiating tactic tbh.

I mean, Spurs need more versatile athletes and they get an old (for college) PG who's not really versatile nor that athletic from what I'm reading. I mean, I get the roster is in a pinch with guard (TP injured, Mills maybe gone, Simmons may be gone, Danny may be gone) but man.
Hart would have filled all these needs. Mason would have filled half of the needs

    Another wasted pick
But I thought the spurs turned all their picks into star players?

Yep. There were bigs and wings there who would've seemingly been better.

    We'll see...

Yes but hart is bigger and shoots slightly better, and i believe defends better
Led his team on the biggest stage, better leader looks like with much better intangibles (drive, defensive effort)

It is very rare Pop places a rookie in the season playing rotation. Expect D.White to camp out in Austin all year and ride the bench come playoff time if he is lucky.

    Paul - PG
    Patty - SG
    White - SF
    Murray - PF
    Leonard - C

    Would slaughter LMA's new team.
