Man, I'm telling you this is getting really bad. SMH. I mean, I know yesterday's NBA has Jim McIlvaine, Jayson Williams and Tim Thomas contracts, to name a few, but todays cap structure is just really out of control.

Hardaway will soon become this year's Mozgov.
At least he's still sort of young and can play. Mozgov got paid at like 30 and didn't hardly produce the year before he got paid. Imo Mozgov made even less sense. If Hardaway drops 20 PPG this year (not saying he will but considering he scored 14-15 in less than 30 MPG it's somewhat possible) then I don't think it looks like a top 5 worst contract in NBA history. What's worse than the contract is the fact that if they knew what they were doing they would have kept him in the first place and wouldn't be in this situation and he'd be even more comfortable with the system (actually that's false because I'm assuming their system is completely different now that Phil's gone.) This COULD turn out to be a good contract if he continues getting better, there aren't a million killer shooting guards in the league and all the good ones get paid.
Based on production, is KCP THAT much better of a player to deserve to get paid what we thought the market would give him over THJR? Maybe they see him as a better prospect than KCP.

Lin got paid what 3 years 36 mil? With today's cap it wouldn't be far off (definitely less but still) from what he just got paid. Lin also doesn't have the upside Hardaway does though.
