Parker the best Spur for many years. Manu, a glorified role player.

If Ginosebleed was American, none of his fluffers would choose him over Duncan, Parker, and Kawhi like they do. He benefits from being a Hispanic in a Hispanic majority city. I mean, the guy has less individual awards than Jamal Crawford yet he's still somehow their favorite I wonder why

I wish Mexicans realized that Argies can't stand them or anyone else of color....

If I showed you Manure's stats last year without putting a name or picture on them... Do you think the Mexicans here would suck his to comeback at 40yrs old? Nope.

Parker has and will always put up superior numbers, but unfortunately he'll never get the respect he deserves because he doesn't speak español. Smh....

Really is the boring part of the season...
pointless debates about guys that should retire...
guys getting touchy about having cases of severe OCD...
and of course Tony vs Manu threads...

which resulted in two ruined {divorces} marriages and the end of two families. I think most here
would have kicked Tony's ass up one side and down the other before taking a splintered bat and
ramming it up his ass! There are some things a so called friend doesn't do to his buddy.

    BatManu20 has it right.

    Because he has huge heart
numbers may favor Tony, but Manu dove for balls

    made some massively clutch plays
More like made some championship losing plays, and sometimes he made 8 of them.

doesn't show up out of shape
Neither did Bonner. Both still role players and scrubs though

    doesn't teammates' wives
Doesn't save his teammates from marrying s*

    and generally doesn't seem like a .
    Tony didn't understand mi español

in my humble opinion, Manu is the second best off guard of all time,

after Jordan, and ahead of Oscar Schmidt

I personally loved both of them with the Spurs, but as a French guy myself, I've always wondered why all the hate against Tony while he's also responsible for a significant part of the Spurs success over the years.

My best guess is, while Tim was indubitably the first banana, there was some kind of compe ion among the fans as to who is the second banana. And since Manu is hispanic and might come off as more relatable, Tony became the (French) devil... which is totally unwarranted.

Nobody would doubt that Tony gave all he could to the Spurs for the 15 years he's been here. Manu would be the first to tell you that.

BTW, my favorite Spurs is still Tim.

I like them both, but the edge goes to Manu. Not for stats, not even debating whether he is or isn't the better player. Manu gets the edge for heart, desire, showmanship and just pure entertainment. I just enjoy watching him play. Not to knock Tony, but when was the last time you saw him dive for a loose ball or setup in the lane to take a charge?

58th pick. Outplayed Tony in 2003 and 2005 finals. Was epic in game 5 of 2014 finals. Hit some clutch shots. Ball was in his hands in the clutch. Was Underpaid throughout, and probably the second best sg in his prime, only behind Kobe. We t to the bench without a moan. Publicly is honest and open on his thought process. Defeated USA in the Olympics which is a great for the game. And didn't have issues with Brent Barry.

Tony is French. Arrogance is there. I like Tony and he doesn't deserve the hate. Manu seems humble.
    2003 Finals:

    Parker: 14/4 on 39%
    Ginobili: 9/2 on 35%

    2005 Finals:

    Parker: 14/3 on 46%
    Ginobili: 19/4 on 49%

    2007 Finals:

    Parker: 25/3 on 57%
    Ginobili: 18/3 on 37%

    2013 Finals:

    Parker: 16/6 on 41%
    Ginobili: 12/4 on 43%

    2014 Finals:

    Parker: 18/5 on 48%
    Ginobili: 14/4 on 42%

Ha. Truth to this. I can count on one hand succesful latinos in basketball. In history. So yes, it helps to see an honorary mescan playing for the Spurs.

    It's pretty simple for me.

Manu comes to play every night and gives 100%. The asswhip that is Tony Parker is the undependable guy who sat out with tummy issues in Game 6 against in 2003 WCF against Dallas. The same guy who Speedy Claxton had to bail out during the 2003 Finals because he was ting the bed performance-wise. Same guy who jeopardized a possible Jason Kidd signing. Same guy who missed 2nd half of Game 6 against OKC in 2014 WCF and needed Corey Joseph to bail his ass out.

Manu is the guy came back from a broken arm to play during the playoffs, gave up a testicle while taking a charge, hit big baskets on the road during the playoffs while everyone else seemed to play like scared sheep. Manu was never intimidated by anything or any team, was friggin entertaining to watch and always handled himself with class.

You put Manu in starting lineup and hes getting 5 to 10 all star appearances.
