There are movie cliches that you can normally overlook. But when the movie sucks balls and cant even create a coherent story to follow, you don't get the benefit of the doubt with movie cliches.
Leia/Lando were taking on decent odds. Not every single storm trooper was in the vicinity. Luke is an f'ing Jedi, bro; of course he can take on a few lil thugs. The Hans chasing the Storm Troopers was a bit dumb and not well executed in what was pretty much otherwise a fine movie.
But if you didn't like these things, then why do you continue to watch Star Wars? It doesn't make sense.

The first Trilogy was good I thought, but nothing like people who saw it on theater when it came out in the 70s make it out to be. I first saw these movies in the mid 90s as a kid.
If you want plot than Star Wars aren't the movies you're looking for. They're just fun to watch for the special effects. At least for me.
I think Disney should do stand alone movies like Rogue One. That one was actually decent story wise.
