Lonzo is going to be fine ...no he aint gonna be better than Steph or Kidd but he will be good enough to help a better player lead us back to contention ...

I believe the Lakers knew about his knees or they would have kept him. That trade got rid of Moz contract and got us Kuz.
That's how the Spurs have always operated with Duncan,Manu,Parker and now Kawhi. I have said a for while that's how the Lakers should have operated instead of being in rush for quick fixes like they did with Dwight and then their failed attempt with LMA. Lakers have a good young core in Lonzo,Kuzma,Ingram. In a few years when they are winning they should be able to attract a top 5 player in the league.

Agreed. I wanna see Zo, Kuz, BI, Hart and Thomas Bryant (who is lighting up the G League but hasn't played with the varsity yet) to grow together. Won't happen though, unfortunately.
Lakers should take a page out of their 90's rebuild. I remember the mid 90's team with Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Campbell, Ceballos, Divac were a good team. They allowed those guys to grow together for a few years and then they were able to steal Shaq. Lakers are currently in a similar situation where they need to let this team grow and develop a winning structure. They just have to wait it out for a few years and eventually they will be able to steal a top 5 player through FA or trade.
Yep yep. Some of my favorite Laker teams were 1992-1995. They liked to run and gun like this team. We will have a ton of cap space too this summer. My wish list is PG13 and Boogie to lead our young core. We'll see if Magic Pelinka can pull something off.
the lakers seem to completely ignore that they have two wins more than the mavericks and that they started strong last year too..
They also seem to be ignoring they are in front of yet another rebuild season with half the team leaving and the likes of clarkson earning massive money
clarkson doesnt make massive money ...only guys making huge money are Lopez and KCP.
Doubtful either of those guys return and Clarkson is on a team friendly deal but would need to be moved to sign a third near max guy ...
personally our "strong start" dont mean its all about the core young pieces. If they develop im with those that hope we develop them rather than flipping them ...i would even prefer we keep randle if he is willing to wait out FA and sign a clarkson type deal....but by trading for Lopez (expiring) and signing KCP that does open spots at C and SG ...
rather than chase Boogie and PG13 which is probably plan A
I would sign Capela (better shot blocker and rim runner) and sign a shooter at SG with upside ...make a run at Klay the following year.
In two years when our core is developed id rather have Klay than George tbh ...and capela will be able to run better than Boogie but we lose spacing which is why we need a shooter at SG.

Best case scenario: this kids a bust (already happening) and 2018 pick lands at #2 in lotto in which case it goes to Celtics who draft a legend.

When i lived in L.A despite yall whipping our ass in a few playoff series late 90s and early 2000s .(besides Bowen) nothing to hate about Spurs ... i hated Utah Portland and Sacto ...and of course Boston.
i dont care enough about Spurs to wish you burn hope yall stay in this 50 win no ring cycle for a while...
