He's been embarrassed several times for stating actual belief in conspiracy crap. He still believes the crap he's posting now, but he just wants an out in the very likely case Q turns out to be bull too.

You keep spreading rumors, innuendo, straight out fabrications, etc made by other people, you're doing somebody's bidding. And ultimately, it reflects on you.
Maybe you like sci-fi, good spy stories, you really want to believe, or you want to watch the world burn, but that doesn't take away that there's a a fairly prominent selective skepticism (most prominent along trumpism and the fringe, no doubt).
I mean, I'm a big fan of the Bourne flicks and books, but I'm also relatively aware of the line between reality and fiction, tbh.
