He and Davis have improved a lot. There were times Jaylen got the best of him, but it was on the open court or when the guy had a step on him. He can't be expected to do much more than he did in those situations. He didn't commit stupid fouls or gambles. When he was posted up he held his ground. He's a lot stronger than he was last season. He competes, doesn't miss rotations.

that was 35 minutes he played. He's in phenomenal shape. Hope we keep him.
I'm very impressed with Bryn's improvement on the defensive end from last season to this one so far he's looked like a different player on that end of the court. Davis, lately has looked so much better defensively too. I hear he worked with Tim recently on his defense, and it appears to be paying off so far. Tim's tutelage seems to have helped greatly.

Parker, Gasol, Kawhi, LDN, Manu and Gasol?

I think Aldridge plays. Gay too.

Tim still played big minutes after that injury, though. It was later on when he was older that Pop started resting him. What was that degenerative condition that Tim had? Tendonosis? I recall the resting with Tim starting after that 2009 season where he was playing on one leg in the playoffs and also around the time he was diagnosed with Tendonosis that Pop started resting him. I always agreed with resting Tim from there on 100%, just not with anyone else until recently with Manu (2014 onward) and Tony (2015 onward). Pau's already playing somewhat limited minutes and he seems healthy, so I don't think he should be resting. Rudy and TP due to major injures, yes on those two, but in Rudy's case, I think it's time to start increasing his minutes if he's feeling good. If not yet, how much more time do you guys think before Rudy should start getting more minutes?

He needs the time to learn the defense better and the offense too. I think the other day he said he's still learning and winging it at times.
Since Kyle got injured Rudy's minutes got boosted. He's played 32 minutes and tonight 29. He's had sore backs and has been reported with heel tendon pain. I think when we get Kyle or Kawhi back, whoever comes first (bc I can't assume with Kawhi until I see him play at this point) he should go back to 25 or whatever. I don't like the heel pain updates on him on the injury list. Got to spare him some still until he's 100% IMO.

My offseason priorities are to 1) move 50Mills (unless we get lucky and move him sooner), 2) re-sign Danny, ) re-sign Kyle, 3) re-sign Rudy and 4) re-sign Bryn.

    Oops, wrong thread.
    Agree with you. .

    I think it's doable.

Gay and Aldridge on the front line at the end of games is pretty nice. I wonder if Pop will throw Kawhi in there, too. But Gay is a really nice offensive rebounder when LMA is posting up.

Only nba player with smarts, that can change momentum from either end of floor and always competes.

    Thanks for the update.

I do hope that Pop calls up the gleaguers, they don't drop that game after this epic win, and that no one, please, no one else gets hurt.

Yup. Underrated aspect of his game. Gets lots of tip-ins on the offensive glass.

Damn, 6 guys? Dejounte, Bryn, and Davis will have to carry the load. Booker will be out for PHX as well though.

Had he not taken several terrible threes less than 30 sec prior he may not have to shoot anything but fts. Kyrie has a brain the size of a pea

Looks like tomorrow will be another OKC-like outing with the young guys getting a lot of burn. Hope they get some sleep!

Chinook you had a great call on Bryn Forbes. He should be re-signed.
I really think Pop is pulling a 2013 and has an open compe ion for the backup guard spot. Some folks try to carve out roles for Murray, but I don't think Pop cares about that. If Bryn keeps playing the way he is, I think Pop ponies up to keep him. It doesn't make a whole bunch of sense personnel-wise, but you don't let guys go just for that.
