    Nice shot by Brynnn...
but this suns team is so awful. can't take much away from this terrible rim protection
We are playing our C-squad, not really playing well...and still up comfortably by double digits.

I can't blame the audience for being in a goddamn coma.

I have family in Phoenix, and I know they desperately miss the days that the Suns were a compe ive basketball team.

Some people seem to expect us to have 12 All-Stars to be ready for the floor at any given time.

Joff brings that Lee energy. He is not going to put up 20-10 or anything, but he mixes it up inside for valuable minutes.

Lee would have been the better option, but it sounds like he was done with the game.
I agree Lee was pretty solid.

That Suns team are rebounding kings! How many boards will Murray be awarded?
He currently has 9 rebounds, 6 of them are offensive rebounds.

Just out of curiousity what do yall see bad about Joff. He's been playing solid imo. A guy doesn't have to make every basket to be good. He's doing really well in the PnR, active on the glass. He's an energy big. I just don't know what y'all are seeing. He's not a star. His short hooks are good shots. He made those to start the season. He's got a splint on his hand... Maybe I got beer goggles on but I like what he brings to the team.

Joff is doing exactly what he's paid to do -- soak up minutes. He's a min guy, so the fact that he can't score, defend or even really catch isn't the worst thing in the world. His biggest issue is that he's too ambitious when he's on the floor. He won't just stick to what he's good at, and it pisses away possessions.

But far the biggest reason why people are ing is because PATFO are leaving him as the third center while also playing big, meaning that Joff is going to get rotation minutes if anything from injury to foul trouble happens to his starters. It doesn't make sense.

Lead should be 20+. Too many mental lapses and poor decision-making by Murray.

Pop has always been enamored with the twin tower defense. As antiquated as it may seem, it facilitates three of his staples: defensive rebounding, help defense, and post defense. He's not trying to cop the Warriors.

Tbh, people ed about Pop playing small too...though we tried doing that with the turd towers and Keith ing Bogans.

That being said...Joff was pretty much guaranteed to get big minutes when the Spurs decided to stock up on guards in the offseason. When you only have 3 legitimate bigs on your roster, they are gonna be out there when available.

Pretty much this I'm all for the twin towers defense. It can still work in the league and plus like you said the Spurs have never won with small ball. We lived through the turd towers era with Bonner,Blair,Bogans. Spurs have never won with small ball defense. They have won with medium ball with Duncan/Diaw and Duncan/Oberto.

    Both great points Chinook.
    1. its fine that he's a min guy, but he's not getting a spot like it so one expects him to play like a rotation player and he doesn't look like on. Maybe he wasn't projected to be out of the rotation but he has fallen out.
    2. he does suffer from a case of trying to do too much at times.
    3. not sure he's even a center. he's been played as a PF b4 ... doesn't block shots or protect the rim. DAvis is kinda much better at that now. Davis is getting his minutes and is kind of nice player on his own. Pop has got to figure out how to play all his forwards more, and that may mean 2 big lineups less... at least the traditional kind. I don't know if Pop really intended to play 2 bigs with Joff as a rotation player, when he got Rudy, Kyle and Davis who are better players available. Doesn't make sense.
