    Just heard on ESPNNews, that Kidd is ahead of schedule for recovery time for the surgery on his knee, and he is expected to be able to start the season on time.

    Sounds like a ploy to erase the concerns that other teams have about his knee so a trade can be facilitated sooner than later. But at his age and with the amount left on his contract, any team would be crazy to trade for him without seeing him operate in a couple of dozen games.
