“It meant a lot,” Scott said. “Even though I have Baylor, SMU and A&M, UT is the heart of Texas and so getting it means I have what it takes to play on the big stage of Texas. My interest is a lot because Texas can make me into that elite level linebacker.”

“The visit went great,” Scott said. “I enjoyed everything Texas had to offer. My favorite part was definitely the photo shoot and also meeting the academic board. They helped and gave me some advice on how to handle everything.”

“My conversations with the coaches were great,” Scott said. “Instead of them saying how they wanted me as a player, they made their mark on me by trying to understand me as a person. Their recruiting pitch was basically nothing is better than Texas (laughs).”
