Muh Kobe
"Revolutionizing the game"
DK was just David Thompson on a stacked team, playing against plumbers, with Stern changing the rules to help him win.
These people calling Harden better than Kobe not in this universe. The guy dogs it half the game, travels on a good chunk of his step backs, and plays to manipulate refs instead. Plus, he's a career playoff loser and choker.
lol so much bs and revisionist history in this post its not even funny
not only that but you clearly missed the point on literally every single point
but but but hes jordan
I've had Duncan in my top 5 since after the 2013 finals. I personally think he got in the top 5 after basically almost winning the finals MVP (would have won it if Pop and the other Spurs players didn't up those last 27 seconds of regulation for him while he was sitting on the bench watching it all unfold). I haven't seen many other people mention him in the top 5. Steve Kerr has said it, but I haven't heard anyone else outside of Spurs fans mention it.
So yeah, IMO 2013 got him in the top 5, and then I think 2014 and 2015 he cemented himself there. If he didn't back it up with those two seasons, then I'd be OK with people putting him in the 6-10 range, but those two seasons coming off the 2013 finals, I really do think he cemented himself there.
Interestingly, your top 5 also forms a complete starting 5 from Center to Point Guard. It might be the best top 5 list I've seen, and also the greatest starting 5 list I've ever seen. Two versatile big men that can score in a variety of ways. Great interior defense and rebounding from TD (not sure what Kareem's D was like in his prime?). You've got a SF that can pass and/or score equally well, he also showed he could play defense during his prime. You've got a shooting guard that can score at will and take over games in crunch time. You've got a pass first PG that will be happy to run the team and not worry about scoring points unless he really has to. Darn man, that's an amazing starting 5.

i did it that way on purpose, tbh.
that way im judging
Lebron vs. Bird
kareem vs Shaq
Duncan vs. Malone, Dirk
inside that top 5 i would say Kareem and Jordan are top 2 with a debate for 3-5 Lebron got the stats Duncan longevity plus rings do magic is probably 5th.
i caughrtonly tail end of Kareem's prime but was an amazing shotblocker and rebounder then with high iq but he wasnt a prime Hakeem or David on that end ...magic in his prime was also just a good team defender who once led nba in steals but one of the best PG rebounders ....
in fact my team would be excellent on ge break only downside is elite 3pt shooting magic and bron improved but team lacks a knock down marksmen before Bird was supplanted by Bron my team had it. But my top 5 is all the best i ever seen at each position...
I think it’s fair to say that any real nba fan no matter what would have loved to have prime kobe on their team. As a first option or a second he is the most deadliest back court players to ever play the game and his killer instinct is something that anyone would love to see if he was playing for your team
JUst by that assumption kobe name is deserved to be amongst the all time greats
