the last ten seconds of history, as you refer to it, are fairly dramatic.

hater is right that the US is complicit in the famine in Yemen.
This nation has been on the cliffs edge for many years.
We are one of many nations and groups that have put this as inevitable.
Trump did not take care Puerto Rico and Hater does not believe in the UN so what does HE expect. Trump is his man, Obama left him with this teetering nation but WE voted to opt out of starting or helping in foreign problems, sorta...

    MAGA.

Poor Yemen...they deserve better. They went from being an unknown country used as a throwaway joke in Night at the Roxbury to the Starvin Marvin Plantation. Team Murica;World Police need to fix this...

we can't fix it, but we could rein in (or at least stop helping) the country most responsible for it: Saudi Arabia

This is the last, most important element of the Ireland/Biafra/Bengal/Yemen strategy: a collusive silence from the media. Sure, it’ll be noted decades later. Books and articles will be devoted to explaining or justifying it (mostly “justifying” because powerful states tend to stay powerful, and don’t want their grandfathers’ crimes exposed).

And there’ll be a whole new set of career opportunities, for the grandkids of the journalists who are blocking the Yemen horror from their consciousness right now, in publishing scholarly articles on the complex quandaries that stopped their ancestors from seeing or smelling the corpses — when really (as I discovered when I once tried to research literary reactions to the Irish Famine) it was simple swinishness, generation after generation

It would be easy for the Trump administration to stop the UAE attack. U.S. special forces are on the ground in Yemen working closely with UAE forces. U.S. planes are refueling the Saudi and UAE bombers. U.S. intelligence is used in the targeting process. The U.S. supplies the bombs. Without U.S. air-to-air refueling there would be no air-support for the UAE fighters on the ground. They would be unable to launch their attack.

If the Russians, Chinese, US, wanted to stop this right now and save millions of people it could be done period.

Russia tells Iran to stand their proxies down or else. US tells Saudis to shut down all troops and get your planes down or they are taken out. Chinese given the honor of leading a massive humanitarian effort with the US and Russia because it’s safe to go in. All 3 countries Clear the airspace, drop troops and water-food. It would not save all, but it could be done.

Massive effort now, who’s gonna lead?

    Go...

the Houthis are not Iranian proxies, they're indigenous to Yemen.

the notion that Russia could tell Iran to tell the Houthis what to do and that would be the end of all suffering in Yemen, is not credible.

You have to have money to have this long a run.
    Who backs the Houthis?

Indeginous people have fought wars for outside powers throughout history.

    Lotta disagreement here Winehole.
I’m sure you have counters to this and a bunch of other stuff along the same vein.
I take Iran’s involvement as a yes. Shia/Sunni thing yet again.

no one said said Iran wasn't involved, but your characterization of the Houthis as mere proxies of Iran is either propaganda or ignorant.

but sure, blame the Saudi instigated, US and UAE abetted, blockade, bombings and famine on powers only indirectly involved.

    weak!

    Oh.

    Instrumentality...

This is what we call it when Shia Iran supplies money and arms... Instrumentality...
The Shia Sunni conflict has no relevance in this conflict? I’m not defending the Saudis or the US. If all you and Hater want to concentrate on is now instead of the process that led to this, ok.

What I said before, and unprecedented agreement from major WORLD players could stop this.
Good luck with Hater’s man,Trump, to start the process.

Noone is listening sadly. Sauds have plan to take the port and starve Houti territory where 10 million live and are already statving.

Sauds are basically creating a famine and will make the casualties in Iraq look like a birthday cake

It is a dark dark days in human history. Genocide in the making and no government doing anything about it.

Wondr how this famine and genocide will stack up in history among man made famines

I know China, Russia and other man made famines were brutal and killed millions. But if 18 million or say 10 million are killed off, top 10 worst genocides in history?
Our name will forever be etched as authors
