Either people are so numb to atrocity that the magnitude of famine in Yemen fails to move them, or the "non-white" status of Yemenis excludes them from polite solicitude.

    Or both.

The Assad gassing apologist is NOT the guy to be giving out this horrific story.

BTW 85,000 is a conservative estimate.
The potential to get much worse lies ahead. In fact it’s probably already a given.

US stops cease fire resolution. They are afraid it will anger Saudi:

Washington (CNN)The US has "slammed the brakes on" a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a limited ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid in Yemen over concerns about angering Saudi Arabia, two sources tell CNN.

One source familiar with the negotiations over the resolution tells CNN the US "has slammed the brakes on," saying that "we can't support a resolution at the moment."

The White House declined to comment, referring queries about the resolution to the US Mission to the United Nations. Officials there also refused to comment.

The reason for the delay continues to be a White House worry about angering Saudi Arabia, which strongly opposes the resolution, multiple sources say. CNN reported earlier this month that the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, "threw a fit" when presented with an early draft of the do ent, leading to a delay and further discussions among Western allies on the matter.

Stop bombing civilians and allow food and aid to get into the ports. At the very least stop selling arms to saudi and stop helping them with bombing targetting.

but US just blocked any UN resolution attempting this.

first ever war powers resolution hits the President's desk.

    lol Breitbart

A bipartisan group of lawmakers has banded together, urging President Donald Trump to sign into law the historic War Powers Resolution that hit his desk on Thursday and reject a push from globalist forces for him to veto it.

The Democrat-led House of Representatives on Thursday joined the GOP-led U.S. Senate in passing a War Powers Resolution for the first time in the nation’s history on the U.S. role in backing Saudi Arabia’s coalition in Yemen’s civil war, sending a War Powers Resolution to the desk of a president.

Trump to sidestep Congress to sell arms to the world's leading sponsor of terror, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This will prolong the suffering of Yemen and will lead directly to more civilian deaths.

Typically, the Trump adminstration hasn't said what the emergency is, or what legal rationale it is relying upon to preempt Congressional review.

This is in the face of the first ever War Powers resolution to pass Congress. Contempt for democratic ins utions is a Trump calling card.
