Hugely.
Based on that alone why should he come back?
I actually want him back, but I am extremely doubtful (hence my pivot to bringing in Killa).
Why? His agent Aaron Mintz (CAA) never had a good relationship with the Lakers, who are now in bed with Klutch.
This is the real reason why D'Lo was traded away the first time (not for switching).
He wet the bed in the playoffs vs Jamal Murray so he not getting $30M that he wants from LA. So unless he comes back for say, $15M-$20M, that ship has sailed again. Hate to see it because I defended his honor on this board many a times.
He could have made it a no-brainer to bring him back. SMH
Hugely.

He's still a good player, good teammate, and I'm sure he will learn from it.
Jamal Murray cooked him though. He needs to take that personal.![]()
10th year in.
All for learning up until one passes, but FFS the Lakeshow tying to get the most out of Lebrons final elite year(s) can't be having some learn on the job 10 year vet ting the bed in a playoff series.
Very good season, he looked great lighting up weak D Curry, something I've been wanting Warrior opponents to do thruout the Warriors fake reign.
So props for that.
But WTH was with his vacation vs Denver?
Murry lightin him up is one thing. Having his balls turn into raisins on the offensive end -unacceptable.
Sounds like he's just happy being in the league and continuing to be massively overpaid.
Agreed. That's why I really think Killa is coming. Bron scored 31 frigging points at the half - AD was lethargic - and D'Lo wet the bed. Can't have that.
With Killa onboard, him and AD can do the regular season heavy lifting and we know Killa won't be shy in the playoffs. Besides, Bron trusts him.
For better or for worse, I am onboard with bringing Killa onboard.
DLo played his way out of a top dollar contract with his 10 for 31 shooting effort vs. Denver. His lack of effort on the defensive end, so like Lkrfan mentioned if he takes less to come back great. He's not a viable trade chip, I don't particularly want Kyrie on the Lakers, but in the end of the day, I don't have any say in the matter. They need a better back-up to AD. Not sure if Bamba is that, but also someone who gives more while handling the ball to give LBJ (if he comes back) rest during the minutes most important.
I hope Flatearther ends up on the Lakers
Killa Cam is a Spurs fan though

Report: D’Angelo Russell was seeking 4-year deal worth over $100M before being dealt to Lakers
Even with a bad playoffs, I think D'lo could still justify a $20-25M per deal. That's Malcolm Brogdon, Terry Rozier, Jalen Brunson money. Might be a slight overpay in the wake of his postseason. But the way max players are now getting paid, it's not egregious.
Problem is the Lakers already have two veteran supermax salaries on the payroll. Not like Boston with their two stars are still on their post rookie max extensions. Or Charlotte where the only big contract is Hayward and the rest of the payroll is reasonable. The Lakers have next to no flexibility if they add D'lo to the payroll even at $20M, and want to keep Reaves and Rui. Probably have to choose between those too and everybody else are min contracts.
LeBron James may be growing ‘frustrated’ with superstar teammate Anthony Davis, and is over their pairing together. This comes from CBS Sports NBA Insider Bill Reiter, in an appearance on CBS Sports’ the Zach Gelb Show. “There is a power struggle going on between LeBron and GM Rob Pelinka… I think LeBron is over AD, and there’s a non zero chance he could get dealt this offseason.”

As long as James is there, + as long as James is hustling race we ain't goin' nowhere.
It would break his Black heart to have to win another one for White. It was touch & go on this last one as to whether he'd do it, or, let it lay spiting said White...
