A year ago the Lakers were able to beat a Kawhi-less Spurs team and a year later with Lebron they are losing to a Kawhi-less Spurs team.
Magic's out here talking about getting superstars and he can't even get a winning record with LeBron on his team. They fired Mitch for this?
So he was joking?
How are the Lakers going though hahahaahahahha
Lakers will be fine. Wait until we are 20 games in before making any real assessments, especially with new squads.
GG Spur fans. We had a 14-point lead and I had a feeling we'd take an L. DeFrozan was the difference. Couldn't stop him. Figured out LMA in the 2nd half, but DeFrozan proved too much.
This tweet summarizes my assessment of the Lakers pretty much:
2-4 record vs 6 presumed playoff teams. We were in it in all 6 games - even had a 14-point lead last night. Pop > LukePERIOD.
Lance was killing the Spurs, glad he got no play in the 4th.
you guys were saying the same last year...
Lakers aren't bad, they're a bottom of the playoff bracket team.
Correct. Season is still early tho.
Lakers will still make the playoffs tbh. Lebron pretty much makes you a playoff lock
that ain't worth putting up with Brony's drama.
Big W coming tonight
New lineup:
I like it. Let's see what they can do.
Lonzo Bust showed what he can do with an amazing 4 points (on 2-6 shooting) and 1 assist.
I'm not sure the Lakers make the playoffs, tbh. Too many good teams in the West.
GSW
Rockets
Pelicans
Jazz
Nuggets
Blazers
Spurs
OKC
Clippers
Grizzlies
Wolves
Heck, even the Mavs and Kings look compe ive.
Let's say Mavs and Kings are lottery bound, I could see Grizzlies, Wolves and Clippers falling down during the season. Which other team does the Lakers surpass to make the playoffs? OKC, Spurs?
They'll make the playoffs, and they won't be sneaking
The problem is that nobody even attempts to play defense. All that length and yet no one on their team has the Ron Harper dog in your face mentality.
