I agree it's meaningful. That's the only thing that could sweeten a Clippers deal. There's nothing saying West can't get another team involved, for example.
If other teams want to take the chance they can keep Kawhi, they can get in on it too.
there are different purposes for listening. one is just to gauge where they stand in terms of what is coming in at this point and what the temperature is in regards to specific teams and their interest in leonard. i see it as more of a 'just in case things don't work out" and we decide to dump him before the season starts situation.

I hope Ainge has concluded his team has a high possibility of facing Kawhi on a Philly, Cav or Laker super team, all of which does not bode well for his Boston team.
It would seem he would be wise to keep Kawhi from Philly or as a team mate of Lebron at Cleveland or LA. With his assets and future draft picks, he could do it. Offer some players and make that 2019 Sacto pick conditional. If Kawhi resigns with Boston, we get the pick. If he leaves, Boston keeps pick.
Tf, is that a young Guy Fiere?
How much did "getting something back" for Dwight Howard help Orlando?
They've been trash ever since, none of the players they got back were difference makers in any way, EXCEPT sucking up capspace for years after getting new deals.
Better to burn Kawhi and get the capspace.
, they'll have the caproom to sign Tobias as a free agent if they want.
No, PATFO won't panic or be forced. They've been doing this for 20+ years and have seen just about everything. Even the current situation, as shocked as they may be that it's happening to them, they've seen with other teams. When they make a deal, it'll be because they believe it's the best option out of a set of crappy options. I'm sure it'll suck, but what can you do? Play the hand you're dealt.
Unless someone comes with a decent package, just wait. Between Philly and Boston I think you can find a decent deal as the summer moves on. You need a potential trade partner to be able to get comfortable with trading for Leonard. Right now there's too much uncertainty.
Gimmie Fultz and the 10th and we gucci
You get Food Network and wifi in the Trump prisons? Any good hookers swim over from Boys Town?
Well, fear of missing out is rarely the best rationale for doing a trade. I think the only plausible pick offer that's been tossed around is Cavs' #8...so that's the current floor that we know of. Draft...even in the lottery...can be such a crap shoot that PATFO may not believe #8 is good enough price. Certainly a lot of people here believe that is not a good enough price, even taking into account the fan tendency of overvaluing own asset and undervaluing other teams' assets. I'm sure they'd love get a good pick in the lottery to rebuild. But they're probably shooting for a good pick (whatever they think that is), not just any pick.
Conversely, New York gave up the kitchen sink for Carmelo and it didn't help them either. I also remember the Pistons trading away Grant Hill that helped build the foundation of the bad boys defense.
I'm like El Chapo in here son..
That trade was a no-brainer for Detroit because Hill was already gone and the Magic would have had to renounce Big Ben anyways. Leonard is still under contract for a year.
The hardest thing about trading is waiting. I've seen way too many traders get their faces ripped off because they got carried away by the momentum of events. Good traders tend to know the parameters of the deals that they want and only act within those parameters--but still allow themselves the flexibility to act if something really out of ordinary happens. Sitting tight is not the worst move in the world.
I already knew you were a fat Mexican tbh. Do me a favor and go punch LkrFan.
I wonder if Pop and RC are prepping for the draft by reading, "The Art of the Deal"?
How did the Melo trade work out for Denver?
All these years later and they're still a lottery team that might have to dump a first to get out of the tax.
With Melo, in the WCF and in the playoffs
Ever since? Crap.
They were able to overpay Gallinari and Winston Chandler for 5+ years or whatever it's been.
Fuk yo team clown.
They're probably too busy sobering up...or getting tanked. I could see either as a possibility at this point.
Should be reading "Crime and Punishment"
