Good for him for getting the bag, but Memphis has really misused him..I don't know why you would sign a player for so much money, yet not have a plan to utilize him as an on-ball player, knowing that he's useless off the ball..now his confidence is lower than ever on offense to the point where he should be used as a bench defensive specialist piece like MKG..

Hopefully they give him a shot if the big cancer and Mike Conley are traded..
You've gotta be versatile in today's game man. Especially with something as simple as shooting the ball when you're wide open.

Even Rondo makes teams pay if they sag off too much. At some point, it's on the player to add to their game to be more effective. That point for Anderson was probably a couple seasons ago and he still hasn't shown much progress.

That's irrelevant, though..what anybody here thinks about him doesn't matter..

The Grizzlies gave him a long-term deal for serious money, yet haven't tried to use him in any way other than being a spot shooter(which he sucks at)..terrible front office decision and plan..

    How's fathead doing?

Shows he's being inactive since January. I'm guessing he's injured?

Only a matter of time one of his shoulders gave out carrying that massive fathead.

Grizzlies tank. But I think some would argue that sitting him is the opposite of tanking. I do think he is a good player, an NBA player. Just not nearly worth what the Grizzlies are paying him. But he would have helped the Spurs this year be better if he's stayed on a reasonable contract.

I never get why teams overvalue San Antonio role players.

He's only good versus teams that run slow, plodding big (but not too big) players and offenses. Very limited when half the guys roasting us this year are super fast guards who can soot 3s behind everybody. Kyle wouldn't help what we need the most which is PG/SG defense and 3s form the guard spots.

Because if you pace adjust a spurs bench guy to rotation on another team his stats increase 15 to 20% also if you were not a problem in the spurs system it means you are teachable and usually a decent teammate.

Weird bump, he's been injured since early January and the Grizzlies collapsed following his injury, they were around .500 prior to it

That better shows how wide open he was when he got the ball.
After this choke job I don't blame them for not wanting to play him again.

I think Anderson would have fit this year's bench unit pretty well. Mills, Forbes, Beli, and Bertans all work best without the ball and are poor defenders and rebounders, but are willing to pull the trigger on a moments' notice. The opposite of Anderson.

I didn't want the Spurs to re-sign him(despite being a fan of his), but you're correct, he would have been a nice fit with them since Mills, Beli and Bertans(although I don't think the Spurs could have kept both him and Kyle IIRC) never pass up shots..
