    All I can surmise is that the Spurs are trying to prioritize cap space next summer and especially in 2020. Anderson at $9M is a far better deal than Bertans + Beli at $13.2M.

    Look, the issue is not the players overall but the length of the deals. If it’s one year it makes perfect sense.

    But if it’s not? We know this team was a low ceiling team last year. Why would anyone deserve raises and why would you invest more into that team with no ceiling regardless of Kawhi?

    Even if you got good assets for Kawhi, those pieces aren’t worth raises to keep around more than one year. Spurs are paying more money, as things stand now, for A WORSE TEAM.

    Expecting any different. Last year's offseason showed us what their priorities are: "Culture" and "continuity", even if that means continuing this show of mediocrity.
