Hmmm, maybe that's why Toronto wouldn't trade him.
That and he's also insurance if Kawhi leaves.

    Bogut is his upside.

He's already a VERY GOOD defensive player, but a soft finisher and frustrating offensive player.

With DeRozan, Gay, Mills, Belinelli and whoever else on the roster, Spurs are going to need all the defensive help they can get
Really? He's a good defensive player? That's good. I don't know much about him but judging by his looks I thought he was more of a soft Euro big or an Enes Kanter 2.0. Glad to be wrong.

Quite the opposite, only took 2 threes all last season, hitting one.

Shot 73.4% of his FG attempts from 0-3 feet and made 66% of those. That compares favorably to Capela (80% of FG attempts from 0-3 ft distance, 65.3 FG% on those shots).

But I haven't watched Poeltl at all, these are just the numbers.

Pöltl ended the 2017–18 regular season having made 34 of his last 39 shots in the final eight games. He was also the only Raptors player to appear in all 82 regular-season contests.

He’s a good pick up, and reminds me of Tiago. I’m just disappointed this is the only other peice the Spurs got. That pick is ty in a ty draft.

Obviously a prospect but a good rim protector - top 10 in NBA in blocks per 48. Good PnR rollman - about Steven Adams - like statistically, great offwnsive rebounder - 12.4 off reb % - just short of Capela.

    +1

He should probably be our starting center next year and LA can slide to the 4.

Just because he's white doesn't mean he can shoot (he can't).

More excited about Poetle looking at his high draft pick, highlights, age, and the fact he got minutes in a loaded front court. Spurs got essentially got their lottery pick and he should be ready to start or play off the bench. Any 1st rounder is a chance to groom another starter for the Spurs. Solid trade. Hope this dies down soon and we can just focus on ball. I don't want to hear about any of this stuff anymore honestly but being who I am I will stay in tune. Wish the best for Kawhi and the Raptors but hope he fires his management REALLY soon.
