Whatever the truth is. The rift is getting real. Especially since US detests Turkey buying Russian S400. Congress just voted to sanction turkey even more for this S400 purchase.
Turkey will respond in the next few hours. If they respond in a big way this will bring the relatinship to the brink.

yes i live in istanbul, turkey. it's not clear what the pastor did, but -yes- public believe he is a CIA asset i didnot check the indictment fully but it's claimed brunson working with FETO (-Fethullah- Gulenist terorrist organization) attemted coup in july 2016. Gulen is not an ordinary Imam, CIA guy for sure. brunson is also claimed to be contacted with PKK terrorist organization. many phone, computer records of the pastor, police force and intelligence have.
at first, i were not keen on belivin he is a really important guy, but abnormal reactions of US make me think other way.
