There were rumors they would change the court design as well, didn't notice right away from the photos

Can see the stripes on the court in this photo as well.

    Oh damn, good eyes.

    That would be dope.

Heres a court mock-up I quickly made based on the photoshoot. I'm confident that the court design contest they held a while ago was because of the Fiesta jerseys

This looks very 1995 or 1996 to be specific

Keldon is not 6'5" on this picture. The kid seems to be still growing

Lonnie is officially 6'5'', Lyles is 6'9''. Looks to me like Keldon at least 6'6''

Good catch from Twitter folks!! But the most impressive thing about those photos is just how jacked Keldon is, tbh. My guy has arms twice, or thrice, the size of DJ's, and noticeably bigger than Lonnie's. SF of the future for sure.

    Hmmm no DeMar or Aldridge...
Maybe I missed it, but no Forbes either... This could be a good offseason.

It's funny, Forbes hasn't been featured at all on the Spurs lately, at least from what I've seen. After the shutdown, he didn't attend the bubble, didn't appear in any of those hype videos, or promos, now isn't featured in the new jerseys promos. It's almost like he was a bench guy all along, and Spurs are only now realizing this after starting him two consecutive seasons...

FIFY. At least he starred in HEB commercials last year. That's the highlight of his career.

As long as he isn't starring in HEB commercials this year, I'm fine with that being his career highlight, tbh . On to greener pastures, my boy!

Yeah, him not being there for this shoot is a good sign. was looking pretty scary last year with him making it into the HEB commercials before clearly superior players like White and Murray.

I view Forbes the same way I view Lyles, he's a placeholder who is serving a purpose. Spurs started him while making sure the player meant for that spot is "ready", "learned the ropes", and "learned winning ways". Forbes' time is up. Lyles will be too when Samanic or another PF is ready. Perhaps this is their philosophy where it helps a young player reach their utmost potential. Whether that method works or not, well, we have gone back and forth about that already .

Starting Forbes also helped the "future starters" in DJ, White to be accustomed to playing with a player who is a reliable 3 point threat which probably means our game plan will always involve a sharpshooter at one of the guard positions. Forbes expedited DJ and White's development in creation ability.

Forbes is a free agent. I think it’s more surprising no Rudy or Patty Mills.

Way too much reading into things that should be obvious . . .

    - Pop loved Lyles immediately and with their lack of quality depth at "PF", he was always going to have his option picked up.
    - Even if they intend to re-sign Forbes and Poeltl (likely), it's not a certainty. Also, Poeltl and/or Samanic could be in Europe.
    - Aldridge and DeRozan (99% the latter is in L.A.) could be out of town, unlike the youth who are probably working with the player development staff. We saw this in '12, when S bag and Green were featured in the new uniforms.
    - Part of the messaging is about the future, another reason it makes sense to feature the youth.

I think Lyles is somewhat undervalued around these parts.
His last 6 games before the. March shutdown:
    15.3 PPG, 2.7 3PG (47% 3PT), 6.6 RPG, 1 BPG, 1.5 SPG, .7 TO.

Solid numbers. Think he would have played well in the bubble too.

Agreed! I think Lyles is a situational type that needs the right post player to flourish. LMA did not really elevate Lyles game. Hope the draft or a trade brings in a better match for Trey. Add Wiseman to that pic and that is a great starting 5 to grow with!!!!
