Will take the Ravens Thursday night.
So we count the Eagles game?
11-4-1
Why a loss?
You simply cannot take a rookie QB on the road in his first game, so I had the right side.
Same with Chiefs on the road vs Chargers, sorta.
Ok the Skins are better than I thought.
Nobody saw Buc's beating Saints.
It usually takes me a few weeks to get the new season. Usually hit 9-11 I don't expect anything different this season.
RULES:
Everyone gets a 1-0 start for the Eagles winning on Thursday.
I'd just as soon not pick the Thursday night games. Too many....is he playing?
While a guy will be ready to go next Sunday, playing on a Thursday ...hmmmm?
10-5-1
But the ones I lost I was really off.

My first thought was Ravens, this was because the Bengals have totally sucked in any.....only game going on..."spot". Then I started thinking about the Ravens. So they beat up on a no QB Bills team at home......big deal.
So how can I ignore the fact the Bengals have sucked in night games?
Yep, struggling with this. So in search of a reason to pick a side.
The Bengals John Ross could beat Tyreek Hill*** in a 40, his 4.22 the fastest 40 ever ran at the combine.
*** Hill winning everything over that, he has speed endurance something Ross doesn;t have.
Hmmmm?
As the league pointed out Friday, home teams playing on all other days than Thursdays have won at a higher clip than Thursday home teams since 2012. Indeed, this is true.
But what happens when we expand the search back to 2006, when the NFL added a Thursday-night package of games?
At that point, the pendulum swings a little more toward the home sides.
According to the Spreadapedia database, home teams have won at 62.4 percent clip on Thursdays since 2006. This 58-35 mark includes NFL Kickoff and Thanksgiving games.
By contrast, on all other days in this same span, home sides have won at a 56.6 percent rate (1,140-873-3).

There is a reason this game is now a pick em. Did open with the Ravens a small road fav. The public jumped on the Bengals.
I found what I was looking for, a reason to back a side.
The Ravens are 1-5 in their past six games at Paul Brown Stadium, with the average margin of defeat over 10 points per game. Quarterback Joe Flacco has struggled throughout his career against Cincinnati, amassing 19 touchdowns, 23 interceptions and a 72.3 passer rating in 19 games.
Yep, backing the Bengals in this "spot".

I update the standings at end of every calendar month... Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec.
Really had a hard time with this one. Fist it was the Ravens, then Bengals, then.....
I did find some things favoring the Bengals in this "spot" and they are at home. So as I said...Bengals.
But....????
