That is a great and seriously probable point
Only problem with aldridge as a 5 is gasol comes off the bench and Poeltl probably doesn’t get very many minutes

I hate the term natural position it doesn't make any sense. Pop could put Cun or Gay in just to play DeRozan as the second-shortest guy, but that doesn't fit the talent of the roster. Maybe if Dante really impressed it could make sense. Or if Pop starts Gay to make a point or something.

“Much like he did last season on the court, LaMarcus Aldridge might be asked to carry things in the H-E-B ads.
This year's spots are due to add one new cast member: Newcomer DeMar DeRozan will join holdovers Aldridge, Patty Mills, Pau Gasol, and Rudy Gay to form this season's ensemble.”
I wonder if Manu is going to join the retirement bus with TD, DRob, Sean, Bruce and Ice.Maybe Brent can be in it too.
*edit* nvm, Jeff tweeted about it

TimmyD looks better than another HoFer on the roster right now.
They're doing themselves a disservice not having Murray on those spots. Those guys all make sense but they could be gone within two years. Need some continuity.
Sigh. You can play Poeltl with either LA or Gasol, since they both shoot the jumper well.
Omg how I miss timmy.
I love that hes always in the practice.
If Aldridge starts at center, it limits the available center minutes for both Poeltl and Gasol. I doubt Pop ever plays Poeltl and Gasol together during the season barring injury or fluke
There's no reason not to.
Same.. I imagine it makes Pop pretty stoked too
Yeah, it's not like there's two sides of the ball and most teams play big wings at PF nowadays or anything . . .
Thank you for posting the interviews boss! I watch every single one.
Cheers my friend.![]()
Poeltl is 22, long, and agile AF, and those mismatches work both ways. They'd be surrendering a HUGE advantage to us on the offensive glass by playing a wing.
