White would be rendered useless starting with White. He needs the ball in his hands.

Wish I could have watched this game. Would like to have seen how the starting lineup looked as well as some of the new additions off the bench.

Interested more in how well new players meshed in the lineups out there. Not necessarily the buckets dropping into the hole but how well they looked making space for open looks, held defense, shot selection, etc.

I like the idea of Eubanks. He's essentially Jalil Okafor with no investment. He has good size and some skill in the post. I don't see much in him, but I guess it doesn't hurt to keep him around for a bit.

All in all, I think this was a good game. The team really needs to gel, and they have to figure out how to balance their rotation if Gay starts. I think Murray, DeRozan, Gay, Aldridge, Gasol, Mills, White, Belinelli, Bertans and Poeltl are the top 10 with little room for someone like DC (since the previous nickname is now taboo), Pon or Walker to get minutes. I didn't say Forbes, though, and I wish I had. I do think he's going to be Derrick's direct compe ion for the rotation spot. I wish it were someone where if he won, I'd be okay with it. There are scenarios where Bryn instead of White could work in the rotation, but there aren't that many. I really liked the way Derrick responded to his poor first half, but I still don't think he's can be relied on game in and game out. But neither can Bryn.

    1st impressions:
    Dejounte's shot looks quite improved.
This is going be a more fluid moving team, once they get used to each other.
White, once he settled down, looks very smooth.
    Poeltl looks pretty darn good!

I'm assuming Gasol is going to get several rest games so they wanted someone to eat minutes.

Bryn works if he shoots lights out. That's about it.

I think the starters are going to try to find as many ways to make plays as possible before settling into a steady diet PnR and dumping to LMA in the post. It will be ugly, but don't read too much into the experimentation.

    First off, Kawhi.

Second, this team will be much more dangerous than many are admitting.

Poetl has good foot speed and is a banger. You can play Bertans beside him, which is an added plus.

Bertans didn't outright suck like he did last year.

DeRozan was okay. I have no worries about him. They'll work him in.

Gay is great. Just a load for a lot of defenders and a really nice add to the starters. Kyle who?

White was very good. Some jitters early but he played through it. He has a nice skill set.

Murray was good. Him and ing Kawhi would be beasts on perimeter defense.

The rest? I don't really remember much else. Aldridge and Gasol were putting in their time, preseason and all that. Wish we could have seen Walker.

Oh, it's good to see Belinelli back.
