White is better then Forbes not even close.
God damn this team is trash
White is better then Forbes not even close.
I'm really miffed that they didn't let Lonnie play tonight. He deserved minutes ahead of someone like a Nick Johnson.
I'm relieved that Poetl and White seem to be good enough to get a lot of minutes this season.
For the 15th spot, I felt that Blossomgame played better than Pondexter and O. White. Blossomgame moved well without the ball and never got stalled in offense. I can't say the same for Pondexter and White, when they got the ball, the momentary kept it to figure out what next to do.
Belinelli tried to be playmaker, but that failed badly.
Non eventful for Cunningham.
Walker was hurt, so you don't have to be upset anymore.
Injured bro.
They'll leave you surprised when the season is done and dusted.
He's hurt.
Hopefully his uncle doesn't hold him out the whole season.
Thanks for the info. 'preciate it.
Sounds encouraging for just only having a couple of days in training camp leading into their first preseason game. Have to wait an see about some YouTube post full game highlights hopefully.
Belinelli's shot right now looks like Jeff Hornacek on weed.
I think White was very jittery and anxious in the first half. Once he settled down and let the game "come to him" he was much, much better.
Pondexter looked really big (looks like he outweighs Metu & Blossomgame], slow and unathletic. Maybe he can show more in the next few games but it isn't looking too good (for him)....
Eubanks needs to do better converting inside - he missed on a nice alley oop attempt - and rebounding. He could find a solid "Aron Baynes" type role but he needs to be better in those areas.
I liked the athleticism and hustle that Metu and Blossomgame displayed. Those two had good chemistry and seems like Chimezie might have some solid passing skills.
Spurs are clearly going small off the bench in the backcourt/swing spots, but I liked what I saw from Cunningham. He'll be solid insurance if someone goes down with injuries or falters. Needs to be able to extend his range yet I see why the team brought him in.
Poeltl might foul too much for Pop's liking but I still see him taking Pau's starting position by season's end. Pau is just such a "low motor" player at this point in his career and the team needs athleticism, hustle and "heart" more than ever.
Everyone else was about what I expected and I think DeRozan not being too aggressive offensively was intentional. He is the best creator/ball handler on the team and needs to build chemistry/learn his teammates sweet spots, right now.
His ability to score and create for himself isn't going anywhere.
This is indeed true. He can get off a shot even with someone covering him.
I see Forbes as the 11th man on the team.
He has had a sore groin and been injured. No reason to risk him.
He's in the dog house.
Ugliest shot I've seen from someone whose motion isn't just broken. The balls come out so flat that there's no margin for error there. Dunno how he's even as accurate as it is, though I do have admire how hard it is to contest his attempts due to how variable his release point is.
Yes, very disappointing for Belinelli. But he's a veteran, he'll pickup speed eventually.
I endorse this post.![]()
what is that +/- stat indicating ? Does it mean most impact on game ?
Yes. got.
Chill bruh. Mills is trash.![]()
Dude carried. Facts.
I do recall that they do a lot of heavy calisthenics and leg work first few training camp days and use the preseason games to break them in. His shot was unusually flat today.
Thanks, SAGirl.
Anyway, I do have a few more thoughts:
DeJounte being aggressive on both ends and being a disruptive force on defense was a huge plus. Someone needs to take the mantle of being the linchpin on defense with Anderson, Green, Leonard and (to a lesser extent) Ginobili gone. I also loved what I saw from him on offense. He took his jumpshots without hesitation, in rhythm and most of all with confidence.
Bertans played how I expected him to last year. Coming off screens and taking good, clean looks. He wasn't pressing or forcing the issue like so many times last year.
If I can think of anything else I'll post again.
