What are the good moves to clean up the disk? The computer runs very slow for apps like Photoshop or iMovie. I checked that only 5G free space is available on a 128G SSD.

Move your files (photos/movies) to a cloud. Google Drive offers 100 GB for $2/month. Or external hard drive

Or is space not accounted for? My buddy has that issue and I think he's unknowingly linking accounts.

So first of all - is all space accounted for. Are you using up 128GB?

Get an external HD, move your more hefty files/archive files there. You can also use it as a Time Machine backup drive, tbh...

it was bought a few years ago and budget was not enough for high specs. Sadly, there is no way to replace or add new ssd on MBP

What year is it? I know you can upgrade the SSD up until the Mid-2015 models.

Check what data on the SSD needs to be cleared, including junk files /apps ,videos or other , then erase them from your Mac , which method can free up space for your Mac .

Have you tried running the data through a pair of Beats Studio Ultimates? Should be able to compress all your files and free up some storage.
